My wife and I did the two-day Tu Lan Caves trip. The review is therefore based on that experience. When you hear that a company has an exclusive license from the government to conduct tours in the sensitive caves in Phong Nha - Ke Bang, you might expect the experience to be a least a little lacking. In the case... More

Oxalis is a great company, the guides were great fun, the caves are amazing. Book this trip if you want a bit of adventure, to see an amazing and less-touristy area and to meet some other like-minded people. This was a highlight of our trip to Vietnam!

Cannot fault Oxalis for their professional preparation of this trip. Made for the best part of our 2 weeks in Vietnam. Thoroughly enjoyable - and manageable, despite crossing waist-high rivers, for fit 50/60 somethings like ourselves - although the majority of fellow trekkers were half our age! Guides were all very caring and conscientious plus knowledgeable of the area. The... More

Oxalis was extraordinary in every way. Our 12 year old son was with us so Oxalis told us we were only able to do the "soft" adventure. Well, for the record, a soft adventure only means a ONE day adventure vs the overnight in the caves. There was nothing "soft" about the experience. We traversed rivers with strong currents, repelled... More

Having met some fellow travelers who raved about their day with Oxalis we changed our plans to include a few days in Phong Nah. It turned out to be one of the best and most memorable days of the whole trip. Prices aren't cheap, about the same as the UK but completely worth the price. The equipment was all high... More

With the help of Oxalis , this 60+ person successfully completed the 26 km round trip trek to this amazing natural wonder. It was a trip to another world and challenged me in many ways, exactly what I hoped for. The trip leader was very conscientious, the porters were amazing and the experience was once in a lifetime. It was a... More

We did the Hang En cave trek on Christmas Eve and Christmas, and it was the most memorable Christmas holiday we've ever had. The cave is just so breathtaking and out of this world. Oxalis is a really well-organized group that works hard to ensure you have a fantastic time. When I realized my travel-sized backpack was too small to... More

Glad we could make your Christmas so memorable Nisha and I know our team had just as much fun with your group over the holiday. Hope you can make it back here for Tu Lan or one of our other adventure tours that we will be launching in the near future! More

We booked the 2 day Tu Lan caves trek, total cost 5.5 million dong per person (about 200 EUR). The trek itself was far too short - we departed at midday on Day 1, and reached the campsite at 4 pm. On the return leg, we arrived back at base camp at around 2pm, so it was more like 2... More

Hello Jeni, Please accept my sincere apologies as you thought you were being misled. It seems to be quite a simple mistake here in that you picked up a brochure from 2014 with our old prices. Our prices were updated from January 1, 2015, and all brochures and posters have now also been updated. Unfortunately, we must have missed some... More

One of the best adventure trips I've taken. Hang En cave is a special place and Oxalis made our trip and overnight stay an excellent experience. Vietnam at its best! Not to mention, the meals were fresh, delicious and some of the best homestyle Vietnamese food we ate during our entire time in Vietnam. Porters carry all the supplies in... More

We decided to do a cave tour sponateously and Oxalis turned out to be extremely helpful and flexible in meeting our demands. We booked a private 2 day tour, which led us to around 6 caves in the region. Our guide was very caring and even carried the backpack of my girlfriend, when she was getting too exhausted. The cook...
