There was a lot of good points so stay with me while I detail the one bad point..... my partner and I had decided even before arriving to Doolin that we would take a ferry to the islands, so we walked from our hostel to the ferry ticket office by the pier. As we approached, 2 young men standing outside... More

We jumped on the ferry to enjoy a day on the islands. It was clean and fast. If you're in the area, this is a great side trip. Seeing the Cliffs of Moore from the ocean side is awesome. I suggest you get off and enjoy the views and take a cart and pony ride with a local. Food on... More

Maybe the smallest ferry in the world (I come from a country with ferries everywhere). The quality of the trip was horrible, as the sea was very rough. It seems to be the usual kind of weather. The staff was very friendly as a lot of people needed that.

On this ferry you have a choice of sitting inside and looking out the window or going outside for the full wind in your face experience. If you are like me and a bit unsteady on your legs, don't try climbing the stairs to the upper deck when the boat is going full speed. I stood just outside the cabin... More

Ok so the island is great and worth the trip but what no one is mentioning is you have a choice of 2 ferry companies. DONT GO WITH THE BILL O'BRIAN BOATS!!!! You purchase your ticket at the dock and both companies are there. We paid $30 EU each and were treated VERY POORLY. there was a tour group on... More

Visited Inismor the largest of the 3 Aran Islands. Enjoyed a wonderful day touring the Island with guide by the name of NOEL.....he was a real character and made the tour memorable. The island is full of history and it is great to see and hear how the Islanders carry out their day to day lives.

I absolutely loved going to inisheer (the closest of the aran islands). going and renting a bike is an absolute must. Sometimes I have trouble with sea sickness and on the way there the water was rough and it was not pleasant (not the boat's fault though). On the way back to Doolin, I sat in the front of the... Historic and quaint place with few full time resident. Bike or horse drawn carriage tours a big hit. Resident dolphin in the harbor made an appearance for our departure. Weather did not fully cooperate so slightly rough return, but seeing the cliffs of Moher from the sea was wonderful.
