This was one of our favorite parts of the trip. We did a combined Inis-oirr/cliffs cruise and loved it! If you pay on pay-pal just bring your email receipt, that will have the confirmation number on it (this was our only confusion with the experience). The O-brien line boat is the largest that sails out of Doolin. The island was... More

The water was pretty choppy the day we went, so the boat ride to Inisheer wasn't easy. The crew was kind enough, and they kept us alive (no small feat with those waves!). It was fun to explore the island, but I don't think I'd do it again, just because of the ride over and back. More

This was amazing and I highly recommend that everyone do this. It gives you such a different view of the cliffs. Friendly staff. The boat got close to the cliffs. I wish it had gone further down More

We took the ferry to the Aran islands with the O'Brien line http://www.obrienline.com. They do seem to have the biggest boat ( 100 passengers) We loved our trip and by emailing in advance got a deal from them for an afternoon trip to the Cliffs of Moher and Inis Mor the following day for £30 euros each for the two... The crew was very professional. Some people did not fare well with the rough seas. Boat was clean and in good repair. More

This is excellent advice. Great bargains can be had at the pier. With 3 companies competition is keen and you can haggle for the best price. More

We took the Happy Hooker ferry from Doolin to Innishmore and wish we had known we had other options. We left on a very rocky morning and our first clue should have been the vomit bags readily available onboard. The seas were so high the waves came up over the back deck. Many of us-probably half of those on board-were... More

We took the Doolin Ferry over to the smallest Aran Island in late September, 2007. It is much smaller and slower than the ferries from Galway, but that is part of the charm. If the tide is low as it was when we went over, you may have to transfer to the ferry in a smaller boat with life vests... More
