I decided to visit it at sunrise and boy what a treat. From the hide I saw a kingfisher diving for its breakfast and the noise of the curlews were a delight, all with the sun rising in the distance a truly beautiful sight. When I left the hide I was confronted by a stag with its doe..... but it... More

Our first visit to an RSPB reserve and didn't know our birds very well, but did enjoy seeing a variety of waders out on the water. A very kind lady pointed out the birds to us and Aldo let us look through her scope. Quite a walk from the car park (this didn't bother us) which could be a problem... More

Good variety of birds to see in mid to late August, osprey, redstart, stonechat, godwits, curlew, redshank, nuthatch. The site covers a range of habitats including heathland, woodland and estuary. There is only a small information centre, where you can get a coffee and the are also toilets. When we visited the upper deck of the double hight hide was... More

My hubby wanted to visit, so as it was his turn to choose a day out, along we all went... And it was wonderful. I'm not a "naturey" kind of person but even I could appreciate the stunning scenery and the wildlife. A lovely way to spend a few hours. Our daughter didn't even notice her weary legs because she... We have visited Arne a few times over the years and each time we have seen different birds and/or animals. Beautiful walks, regardless of the time of year and the little beach is a perfect place to picnic.

This is a great place to see wildlife and enjoy stunning heathland habitat overlooking poole harbour . Its never too busy and there are plenty of birds & wildlife to see if you look hard enough . I also joined in a great nightjar guided walk with a very helpful & fun warden .

We are lucky to live only 5 miles from the RSPB reserve at Arne and visit it on a regular basis. Depending on the time of day, you may sight a variety of animals and birds. The great thing is that you can just walk on a of different trails, visit the edge of Poole Harbour or view seabirds from... More

Loved this RSPB reserve! Had a long walk around the reserve on a slightly windy Saturday in June. Saw lots of deer and some great views over the Dorset coast. The bird feeders were busy and the two members of staff were very helpful.

What a great place to.visit for young and old alike. Dogs also welcome as long as they are on a leash. Wonderful walks with stunning scenery and the added beauty of spotting the fabulous bird life and if you are lucky enough...the deer! There are challenging walks and gentle walks so there is something for everyone here. There is a... More
