Ashamed to say I have lived in the area all my life and never before visited Arne that will all change after a fantastic day out here yesterday. We found the reserve well laid out and the rangers extremely helpful and informative as for the toilets they were spotless. The range of wildlife was amazing from birds(wetland and woodland) insects,lizards... More

Very nice place but the parking is expensive when we went, especially considering the land next to it is national trust and free parking bays throughout. Plus the walk was beautiful with beautiful plants but no creatures! I know its not RSPBs fault but it was like the site had been nuked, there were no birds in the sky and... More

Staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. We only had time to walk round the southern part of the reserve this time, but, although it was a Sunday, it was tranquil and very relaxing. We joined the RSPB following a reptile photographic shoot here. Parking is free for members and cheaper than National Trust parking for non-members. Highlt recommended.

Well, we were not surprised to find such excellent reviews on Tripadvisor of this nature reserve. We would simply like to add our 5-star rating to the long list. We visited this RSPB site for a couple of hours late afternoon on a lovely June day, warm and sunny. We are mother and daughter aged 83 and 61 respectively, the... More

When planning a half term trip to Dorset I contacted RSPB Arne to book on a 2 hour nature walk for my family of 4. We were informed to just turn up on the day, which we did, but unfortunately a bit late. Staff at the centre were so helpful and radioing through to the party who all kindly waited... More

What a fantastic place to visit! Even if you are not a great bird lover this is an amazing place. Clearly marked trails and pathways through nature at its best. There are free roaming deer to look out for as well as other creatures both on the ground and in the air. Stunning views across Poole harbour and through to... More

Very pleasant reserve which offers opportunities to see some (to me) rare birds, yet is relaxed about our bringing the dog along. Quite rightly, since he can do no harm while on a lead. Too many RSPB reserves are paranoid about dogs because some owners are irresponsible and let them off the lead. We miss out on all these places,... More

Hi Bobjob21, Many thanks for the review, glad that you enjoyed the reserve so much. Just thought we'd let you know that by next year we will have some refreshments at Arne based out of the old 'Toy Museum tea rooms' next to the car park. No more gasping for coffee! In the mean time there is our small hot... More

Arne is one of my favourite places in the UK. You most certainly don't need to be a twitcher to love this, we aren't. It is simply beautiful, woodland, heathland, and lovely shore land walks. At its finest on a spring or autumn morning or evening. The deer, stags, rabbits and other animals just add to the charm. If possible... More

RSPB reserve has some beautiful scenery, walks on good paths, hides for bird watchers, deer spotted, still no sign of the elusive dartford warbler but we are assured they exist!! Even in the severe wet/cold weather it was an enjoyable ramble - topped off with good sighting of a pair of tree creepers building a nest very close to one... More
