I spent a good 1 hour there on my final day at Labuan Island. Took a 10 minutes water taxi ride from the Ferry Terminal (Rm20 return trip) and took a walk on the beach. The water is amazingly clean even from the jetty where the taxi dropped us off, probably because there's not many inhabitants there. Government workers from... More

The island is inhabited by monitor lizards. You'll see them in the wild. Though the beach is swimmable I personally do not recommend it. Other than fact that monitor lizards could be hiding in the bushes, there are also jellyfish lurking at sea.

we went there for a BBQ. please be careful when entering the water. stonefish and stingray are everywhere in this part of the sea. always bring a mobile phone. Tip: visit the small islands around Labuan. they are much better and the water is not so oily from the ships.
