I recently visited Bournes Resturant (16.04.15) at the centre. The food was excellent!! I usually meet my friends for lunch and the visit the shops. We have done this for a number of years. The past 6 months we unfortunately decided that the restaurant had lost its sparkle. However, we returned on Thursday and it was fantastic. The lovely chef,... More

This is our third visit, it's a lovely little place with some bespoke shops and lots of interesting things to keep you occupied for a couple of hours. There's a factory tour but due to the age of our children we have not yet been on it. There's a café / restaurant on site too. Then there's the discounted area... More

We visited Denby, expecting not much more than a big shop. we were surprised at how much you could do. The only disappointment was the lack of customer service. Considering it was quiet (not peak season) the staff were grumpy, not smiley and all looked fed up! They continued to be unhelful, especially in the store! It does put you... More

I first visited Denby Potteries when it was open to the public 25 years ago, great to see they've continued to improve facilities and cater for a wide range of people. On this visit we had a drink and cakes in the restaurant, as we had done a month ago. The restaurant is clean and spacious, the service is friendly... More

We visited Denby Pottery Factory this week as part of a U3A group. PLUS POINTS: *the short film about the pottery *our delightful factory tour guide Maria who described all the processes in an amusing way *watching Cathie paint a plate (she's the only paintress left at the factory, as we were told that customers now demand a more uniform... The shop was well stocked and had some excellent items. The factory shop had some good deals and again was well stocked. The gift side of the centre was lovely. An enjoyable trip had by all.

I went with a very close friend with not much expectations and found it a delightful experience. The staff are so friendly and knowledgable. Joan lead us on a trip into Denby pottery world and demonstrated how pots where made. Then Kathy showed her wonderful talent as a painter of pots. We had a go at making a moulded frog... More

Fascinating visit, guided by the knowledgeable, genial, Cliff. Not only did we follow the process through from clay to quality control, but we got to make a little frog to take home. and try our hand at decorating a plate in the old-fashioned paintbrush way. Almost two hours in total. The site also includes several shops, and a nice little... More
