We arrived in Ireland after an overnight flight from Pittsburgh and headed straight for Lahinch to play our first of 8 golf courses on this trip. The weather for the day included gale force winds with rain showers through out the round. The golf course staff treated us with smiles, got us checked in but due to all the people... More

Our golf foursome prebooked through ScottsAmerica to play Lahinch Golf Club and paid over $150 per person. When we arrived for our 8:10 tee time the winds were near 30 miles per hour. We teed off and torrential rains with thunder began as we approached the first green. We were totally drenched before we could get to our rain suits... More

I was in Ireland for my son's wedding last month. Having never played a true links course, my other son and I insisted on bringing our clubs. The Lahinch Golf Club's Old Course came highly recommended, and it did not disappoint. Situated squarely on the Atlantic Ocean, the wind NEVER stops, but that just added to the challenge of the... Lahinch is what golfing in Ireland is all about. A great golf course on the water in the middle of a small and friendly town. This is a world class golf course without the world class costs and over the top luxury (and costly) extras.

My husband rally enjoyed his round of golf. It was an usually hot day for this area. The scenery was spectacular.

I “played” this famous golf course on 16th May 2015. The winds were 40mph and rain was often torrential. Despite the weather, I felt that having grown up in Scotland and accustomed to links golf, I would find it only slightly easier than trying not to laugh at David Feherty over a 3-hour lunch. Think again! (And that was a... More

Played this wonderful course last week (June 2015), excellent condition-presented well-helpful staff- would recommend you hire a caddie as you need every bit of help you can get on this gem of a course. Not for the wayward hitter but keep it straight and it is tremendous. It is a bit pricey but when you consider the history of the... More

I have played this course over the last 15 years very 3 years and find it to be the most woman friendly and playable. The course is about 5400 yards par 74. Some narrow fairways but reasonably easy to find your ball. Scenic and great holes but often windy and cold as is most of Ireland even in summer. Now... More

You can argue a few holes are tricked up, but if you are hitting the ball well, you will have a great time, and if you aren't, you will have a great laugh. It was a beautiful day, with a fun caddie, and the course was in fantastic shape. My friend played well, and I did the laughing while fighting... More
