Lahinch Surf School has stayed true to that dream ever since. When we're not surfing big waves at the Cliffs of Moher (the wave John named "Aileens"), you'll will find us at our 'Surf Centre and Cafe' on main street, Lahinch or at our Beach hut on the promenade.The positive ions are infectious dude!Courses: Outside of doing a single two hour lesson any day of the year, our most popular courses are the 'Weekend Surf Course' for adults, which is 3 fun lessons over the weekend and our Kids(9-12), Teens(13-18) and Grom(5-8) Camps in school holidays.You are welcome to come join the fun at Lahinch Surf School.

“Excellent Surf School”

Our group of friends recently had an amazing trip to Lahinch which was made even better by the fantastic surf lessons we took. Dan & Pat provided us with great coaching for our morning surf lesson which had a mix of first time and so called 'pro' surfers. It didn't take long for us all to soon become 'pro' surrfers.... More

On what was the best day of year so far what a pleasant experience it was to spend a morning surfing with these guys! Had a brilliant hen party surf lesson this weekend with Lahinch Surf School! John and instructors Ollie and Johnny were all really friendly and helpful. I've done lessons before with this school and always had a great experience - would definitely recommend them! Delighted with my free hoody too :) Thanks a mill!

“Staff could not have been nicer”

A big group of us went to Lahinch for the weekend. We booked 2 surf lessons a few weeks in advance. They replied to our emails very quickly and gave recommendations on anything we asked regarding surfing and Lahinch in general. “Great surf school”

Group of us had a great lesson with Lahinch Surf School. Everyone was really friendly and accommodating. Booties, gloves and hoods were dipped in hot water before we put them on, lovely! They got us sun cream, gave the hen a really nice surf school hoody and of course helped us to surf. Have done group lessons like this before... More

“Service quality at Lahinch surf school”

Absolutely amazing service, and great gear! I have never been hot coming out from a surf, but after renting from John McCarthy I really was. Although I wasn't participating in a surf lesson, the instructor was obviously keeping an eye on myself and my friend and gave us some great tips which helped our technique.

I own my own gear a but rented a wetsuit from them as my own isn't warm enough for March waters and it was fantastic, really warm and kept me toasty for a good couple of hours in the freezing cold and... Spontaneous and funny surf lesson and john McCarthy himself, a famous surf professional, helped me a lot with finding a nice bed & breakfast in lahinch.
