My husband and I were looking forward to our stay at Dromoland. Not the 5 star experience we had been led to believe was waiting for us. As we drove up and unloaded our luggage out of the car, a hotel staff was taking in luggage for another party, looked right at us and we waited, expecting someone to come... More

I've visited DRO MO LAND Castle many times. If you want to stay in a fairytale setting this is it. Or just have lunch or dinner the food is delish. More

Dromoland was our last stop (and last splurge) before heading back to the states. It is a wonderful historic property with tranquil gardens and grounds. The interior furnishings are splendid and depict an era of Lords, Ladies, knights and cavalry. Do plan to stay at lease one night just for the experience. It is not inexpensive, by a long-shot, but... More

The only Irish hotel, in my experience, that exceeded Dromoland was the comparable Ashford Castle in Mayo. However, we usually visit now with our toddler to walk in the parkland grounds. There are lakes with... More

Love, love, love it here. Have splashed out a few times for afternoon tea. Scrumptious warm scones and delish sandwiches have us coming back time after time. Beautiful surroundings to walk off the calories afterwards, always a plus! More

I've been fortunate enough to dine twice and partake of afternoon tea once at this gorgeous Castle hotel. The setting is breathtaking, the service impeccable, the food delicious, the prices...in keeping with the setting. Happily I was someone's guest all three times. We have friends who have held their wedding receptions here - sadly, we were not in Ireland at... More
