I got taken to this beach in Ballybunion and its actually a lot of fun here. It smells of seaweed very heavily but the sides of the beach are climable and grass hills that are quite steep. This place is fun to spend the day in especially if its hot! for kids there are arcades nearby. I even won £20... More

The Ladies Beach is very popular with families. We visited on a warm sunny day and the place was very busy. Some were even brave enough to surf or take a dip in the chilly sea. Small cafe, seaweed baths and lifeguards make this an ideal beach dating back to Victorian times.

This beach is beautiful on a sunny day and the sand is lovely and warm aswell as the cool blue sea. Beware of the jellyfish tho... The caves are beautiful too..

The seaweed baths are located on Ladies Beach which is a lovely golden sandy expanse with rolling waves. It was a little on the cold side when we visited (without a wet suit) so I plumpted for the hot seaweed instead. It cost 20Euros and was so relaxing I felt limp afterwards. I was provided with my own private cubicle... More

This is a splendid sandy beach that was Ladies only in Victorian times but is now open for all. The sea is clear and the beach clean. The water though in June was chilly. Waves crash against the cliffs on each side. Nice little shop with local ice cream. Parking is limited. Lifeguard is in attendance.

One of the nicest beaches anywhere. On a warm sunny day, the ladies strand at full tide is simply amazing and easily competes with the best worldwide (weather dependant). Clean golden sand, clean water and great waves overseen by lifeguards in summer season. We even saw the dolphins on one calm morning!
