40 mph winds and a 5-minute downpour could not detract from the best golf experience in SW Eire. I have played the classic courses in "The North" and in Scotland, and Ballybunion and Royal Dornoch will reward "straight-shooters"! The best place to stay is only 75 yards from the clubhouse. It is a hotel; not a B&B! Teach de Broc... More

Ballybunion has focused on improving the golf club and it is apparent. Plantings all around, improved access on holes and cart paths and overall feel of improvements everywhere you look.

I really enjoyed it because the sights you can get off the golf course is second to none and the food in the restaurant is very nice top quality and there is always some sort of match on in the restaurant they have a clothes shop down stairs with great quality clothes and great golf clubs

We had a great day playing the Old and Cashen - took caddies on the Old and carts on Cashen - the Old is truly world-class and the Cashen is underrated, but if I played Cashen again I would at least take a forecaddie...many blind shots and we needed a human guide!

Played for the 3rd time, a little different from the last play. Can't ever forget teeing offf next to the old grave yard. They have cut down much of the long grass on the fron t nine, making it a much easier play than previous rounds. Not sure if that is good or bad. Great course, if you are on... More

I was able to play the Old Course the first part of May; and while it wasn't my best scoring round of golf that I have ever played, it was probably the most enjoyable round of golf I have played. I lucked out with beautiful weather that day and no strong winds. The views are incredible all over the course,... More

Any serious golfer must play both courses at Ballybunion. The Old Course is a world to 20 course. The most challenging and interesting course that I ever played.

From the moment that we arrived for our evening meal to playing golf the next day the people treated as if you were a member and not a visitor. Certainly would come back

True links in when it´s best. We had a wonderful day at Ballybunion Golf Club. First we started at Old Course with Tim as a guide and fore caddie. He guided us around one of the best courses in the world! Thanks Tim for a wonderful help and guidance. After a nice lunch we played Cashen Course in the afternoon... More
