It had been several years siince we played this course and they have definitely made it easier for the tourist golfer by cutting down the rough and possibly widening the fairways. Good length for women..5400 yards. You will feel like a better golfer than you are if you can stay straight. No real need for a caddy if you can... More

Went to the club house for my first pint of guiness since arriving in Ireland the day before. Great views looking over the playing area and friendly staff too. Prices weren't too bad either for the round.

You feel the history with every shot. They'd just mowed the rough, so it wasn't playing as tough, but even with a light breeze it is a stern test. Sunny days both days, with the Cashen first and then the old. Mark is a great, fun caddie, and the clubhouse is much improved with really nice food and service.

Some of the opening holes are pretty bland, but it does get better. Disappointed that they do not allow buggies for those with walking difficulties. Plus they no not reply to emails.

What more can be said - you must golf here to say you have golfed in Ireland. Staff, caddies and the course were all a delight.

Great course and great caddies. Views on the course are incredible. The course plays fair, just watch out for high winds.

The Ballybunion Golf course is indeed worthy of been one of the best links in the UK. There's two courses, Ballybunion Old and Cashen but I only got the opportunity to play the Old course which was stunning. It runs along the Atlantic ocean so expected a bit of a breeze coming off the sea, especially on the amazing 11th.... More

Played both courses on the same day. Old course was nice but the front few holes especially were not interesting (view of trailer park ??!). After some holes it got better. Having played waterville and Tralee, my husband and I found the Old Course a slight disappointment. The Cashen course, though we had a mishap in the beginning with a... More
