Beautiful, challenging golf course! It is a golf course that makes you want to play it again and again. Particularly the back side!

Enjoyed both courses. The Old Course for its history and the Cashen course for its difficulty and beauty.. Fabulous 36 hole day.

Whilst the Olde Course was created in Heaven, the Cashen Course prepares you for Heaven. ( bit of an irish twist but when you play both you will understand)

The caddie was great and the vistas amazing. Golf was hard but I did it. The gift shop had a great selection of logo golf hats and clothes.

Can not explain the feeling standing at the first tee with the sun coming up over the horizon, praying not to hit it right ...into the graveyard! The Old course is a picture waiting to happen at ever turn. You need to be in good shape to walk this one. Lots of steep climbs and straight down the side of... More

Nothing to dislike, a true test of golf that is not for the beginner. Be prepared to test your fitness as well as your game. Proper loonies and a good caddy are essential to your success. I look forward to playing this again and again.

We played 4 golf courses in the area and Ballybunion was a highlight. We used a fore caddie Andy and he was great. He knew where to play every shot and was very good at finding wayward balls. A fantastic links course

Golfing here for my husband and his friend was a dream come true! The weather was perfect and the course couldn't have been more challenging! The caddies were very knowledgeable and friendly. He would definitely play here again! A splurge, but worth every penny and all the memories!

I am going contrary to popular opinion, but in my mind the Cashen course is far more interesting than the Old Course….it's probably blasphemous to say this, but this course certainly deserves your attention. It has more character, is very scenic and gets about 25% of the play the Old Course gets. Hilly, with mountainous dunes make for great shots... More

We really enjoyed playing the Old Course. Some of the holes have spectacular views overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. It is helpful to have a caddy to show the direction and look for balls. Some parts of this course are very hilly and it must be walked (no buggies, only trolleys).
