I played the Old Course a few days ago and it couldn't have been more perfect. The weather was sunny and the winds light! My caddie Con (for Cornelius) was excellent. We visited as we walked all 18 holes and his perspective about the course, the town and County Kerry was wonderful to hear. My wife joined me for lunch... More

Really liked Ballybunion. Not the best shape when compared to the all star set of tracks I played on this trip but worth the trip. My caddy was weak which made the course tougher than it needed to be

I had the pleasure of playing golf on this magnificent golf links recently. The weather was very nice on the day and me and my companion played in t-shirts. We had lunch before playing and my onl y criticism of the day was at this point, we both had the lamb stew and while tasty we both had trouble finding... More

the newly revamp pro shop is well stocked, but is aimed at the overseads tourist not the local tourist. The views from the bar are wellworth a visit. Bar food is very good, varied selection and daily specials, staff are curtious and would highly recommend the manageress, very professional and helpful, Well done one and all

Ballybunion's Old Course is stunning, challenging, and inspiring. The use of the terrain and the dunes is beyond comprehension unless you've walked it yourself. This should be every true golfer's destination. For me Ballybunion (and perhaps Lahinch) is the Mecca of golf. We were greeted in typical Irish fashion - warmly and generously. Our caddie, Senan, was a youngster, but... More

Of all the golf courses in Ireland this may be the best overall, the hardest under normal conditions and a test above all tests in bad weather. Never miss the opportunity to play here. Great practice area with cart to take you down and a wonderful golf shop and great food upstairs in the restaurant. Caddies who really know the... More

Stunning course, very challenging golf. Played both courses over two days. Cashen course is more forgiving in that the fairways are wider. Clubhouse excellent, great facilities and lovely food. Hospitality wonderful

It had been several years siince we played this course and they have definitely made it easier for the tourist golfer by cutting down the rough and possibly widening the fairways. Good length for women..5400 yards. You will feel like a better golfer than you are if you can stay straight. No real need for a caddy if you can... More
