I played the old course and thought it was a brilliant test of golf and beautiful stunning views. Greens were a little slow but the way the course was maintained was incredible, I wasn't sure at one stage if I was walking on real or astro-grass. It was real grass. My favorite hole is the Watson.. Tough but fair. Greens... More

After a great walk on the beach we popped in for a quick lunch. The main restaurant has great views or overt the course. Service was good and friendly. Most of us had toasted sandwiches and the seafood chowder. Really very good and served quickly.

Wow, great real estate with a golf course that will take your breath away. Starting out will be a tease and then you hit the sixth hole and golf begins. Some of the best par 3 holes any where. Our caddies, Paul and Adrian were excellent. Don't know what the last guy was writing about but the caddies here know... More

The Old Course was not available and I was delighted to see that the Cashen is not a second rate course. Great golf links, yes challenging and quite a work out with a lot of walking and climbing. What views...... The sun shone across the bay and loop head light house looked amazing. Disappointing hospitality. We teed off at 9:40... More

I just returned from our golf trip to Ireland yesterday. Looking back we had a great time and enjoyed terrific weather as well. This was my 4th golf trip to Ireland and my 3 friends 1st golf trip. We played Old Head, Tralee, Ballybunion and Doonbeg during the week, and found that Ballybunion was the most UNENJOYABLE one of the... More

We just finished two days at Ballybunion playing the old course twice and Cashen once. Both are challenging courses yet very different despite being side by side. True links courses with beautiful vistas. Bring some extra golf balls. Ride the buggies on Cashen and hire a fore caddy. Hire a caddy and walk the Old Course.

I'm not sure that there are many golf courses that are any better than this one. Our golfing experience was fabulous. The layout was very challenging without being torturous. The condition of the course was very good and the views along the western coastline are beautiful. If I had any negative impressions it would be the pro shop personnel. I... More

The OLD course is unique. 18 different holes that all challenge you. The weather insures that every day is a new set challenges. A must play in Ireland.

Went for lunch on a rainy Saturday, Ordered a club sandwich on Gluten free bread..It was superb. I felt it was great value for money and the surroundings were lovely. There were several family groups, quite a few tables with ladies having lunch. Interestingly the was a table of 14 young men (aged between 8-16), probably part of a club or... More
