This was one of 7 golf courses we played while in Ireland! I can't say enough about what a fantastic experience it was! The Caddys were awesome and the golf course amazing! The only negative would be, that there were no toilets on the course! All in all for a high handicapper as myself! I can assure you, a low... More

I'm reviewing this world renowned Golf Club, from a semi resident's point of view. Many will say: you cannot do that if you're not a golfer!! But spending 60-70% of our year in Ballybunion, having grown up here, from a Ballybunion perspective, the Golf Club is completely separate entity from the Ballybunion town., which is very selfish attitude by the... Very challenging but enjoyable course. Absolutely on the must play list of courses on the west coast.

Whether you agree with me or not, if I could only play one course for the rest of my life, from those courses I have played, this would be the one. The first trip I took to Ireland was 20 years ago, and I spent a month on a clockwise journey, starting at Lahinch, wandering up through Donegal, into Northern... More

As an American who has played many of the more highly ranked sea side courses in the world I must rank this layout number 1. Like all links courses it plays so different on a sunny day with no wind versus a rainy and windy afternoon. You get some view of the Atlantic from nearly every hole. You can drive... More

Played three times in December and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience despite the challenging weather and municipal course conditions on both layouts. A member in our foursome mentioned that if the greens were like this in Lahinch, Portmarnock or Newcastle County Down, the members would burn the clubhouse down! Well it seems the Ballybunion committee wiseacres have also taken care... More

There are two courses on the property - the Old Course is one of the top courses in the world and the links experience is genuine, fun and yes - challenging! It is one of the best courses I have played. It is not often you take a 9 on the first hole and still love the experience. I would... More

The caddies at Ballybunion are knowledgable, and entertaining, the course is demanding, and in a beautiful setting.

On the isle I call "Heaven's Front Gate", there are special places which are cathedrals of this religion called Golf. Ballybunion is perhaps the most famous course in Ireland and its fame is well deserved. One plays it with a reverence - and with lots of extra balls. Cashen Course shares the same Clubhouse, Pro Shop, Driving Range and parking... More

Fantastic experience and what a test of golf. Either take you straight hitting game or extra golf balls, the rough does not take prisoners! If you are not hitting straight just ensure you enjoy the fantastic views from the course and the 19th hole.
