We played 4 golf courses in the area and Ballybunion was a highlight. We used a fore caddie Andy and he was great. He knew where to play every shot and was very good at finding wayward balls. A fantastic links course

Golfing here for my husband and his friend was a dream come true! The weather was perfect and the course couldn't have been more challenging! The caddies were very knowledgeable and friendly. He would definitely play here again! A splurge, but worth every penny and all the memories!

I am going contrary to popular opinion, but in my mind the Cashen course is far more interesting than the Old Course….it's probably blasphemous to say this, but this course certainly deserves your attention. It has more character, is very scenic and gets about 25% of the play the Old Course gets. Hilly, with mountainous dunes make for great shots... More

We really enjoyed playing the Old Course. Some of the holes have spectacular views overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. It is helpful to have a caddy to show the direction and look for balls. Some parts of this course are very hilly and it must be walked (no buggies, only trolleys).

The first six holes are very ordinary and skirt a caravan park which sadly does not create the right impression. The greens were uncut and very bumpy on the day we played. The course did improve dramatically however once the sea holes were reached. Very disappointed when we had read and heard so much about the course.

played 6 courses in week stay in Ireland and this one is not to be missed. A true classic This rating was in spite of the fact the day we played the greens had been aerated and sanded. Felt we should have gotten discount, but of course we didn't ...

I can see why this is rated so high. It has the views of many of the courses on the water in Ireland but the design is second to none. The size of the dunes have to be seen. Pictures cannot capture them!

Terrific layout with a need for your B+ or above game. Hitting the fairway is a must and landing in the the correct spot on or around the greens is required. Our group of 16 agreed they were the best caddies we had while playing all over SW ireland. They know where to hit, what to hit, and when you... More
