Tramore is a coastal holiday town about 7 miles from Waterford City, famous for its long, family friendly beach and amusement park... Like all coastal towns its very dependant on sunshine and long hot summer days in order to get the best from it, that is unless your into beach fishing, surfing or any sea related activity in which case... We went to tramore and visited the amusements and this year they had a few new rides. One particular was the car racing track, while mini it was a blast. the scary house.... is not scary and needs some investment. they need some more picnic tables as when we went there were none. the bouncy rides near the mini golf... I go to Tramore usually once a year and the amusement park is okay. Nothing special really but I do enjoy the Waltzers :)

My main issue is that on-line is mentioned the Amusements are all year round. However, in reality they only open at weekends due to the recession

Tramore is beautiful and the beach is pretty special,it is also very safe to swim in,the Amusements can be very expensive if you have more than one child .There are some lovely walks, and parks, that are also worth a visit.

The amusement park is small but nice for a family day out with the beach a stone throw away. there are lots of pubs and eateries serving fresh fish which i enjoyed.

Plenty to do, mini golf very good, nice staff but bring lots of money as most rides are €2.50 each. Don't bother with the ghost train it's a waste of money.

go early in the day as its easier with kids, have loads of change and if you are there for two days break the days by letting the kids go on half the amusement activities one day and then the rest the next day.
