If you have 2 teenagers that are never off the internet or playstation and are not into sports well this is a must do trip. We enjoyed it 100%, got exercise, enjoyed the wildlife and scenery. The history talk given about the castle and locality they found very interesting. Parts of it would have been covered in school and to... More

Had a ball !! The man that owned it was so friendly and it was so cheap considering the hours of fun we had. Great service and fun. He had plenty of canoes and wet suits etc . Fab

We took a guided tour from Cavan Canoe Centre all around the waters of Lough oughter. Wath a trip! We saw lots of wildlife and plenty of swans and ducks. We were out on the water for about an hour really enjoying the peace and serenity and the views. We paddled past the island of Clough Ougther Castle - which... More

We rented two canoes with three teenagers and had the nicest day out. The weather was lovely and we found the owner (Sean) and the young red haired fella who works there to be absolutely great. I was nervous, but was put at ease and made feel very safe. We followed the instructions and went up to the castle. The... More

Went here as part of a stag trip, and all was very well organised. Great way to keep a bunch of lads active and sober during the day. That siad, they did treat us to a cold beer when we were finished!

Well organised centre with all the equipment needed for a short trip on the lakes. Lakes are stunning and very calm and quiet. Instruction was helpful, we choose a trip to the castle, took longer than planned and was tried when we finished, but a great day out. Very reasonably priced too.

Went on half day kayak with a group of friends on Lough Oughter. We stopped at the castle and then continued onto Killykeen and had a picnic there. We got to see loads of wildlife while out on the kayak such as swans, herons and so on. Its a great way of spending a few hours. The facilities at the... More
