As good as it gets!

Nothing to dislike! Course in great condition considering the wet Spring. Welcome in clubhouse made it feel like you were local member .

Waterville is a links course with a great design and amazing views of the bay and surrounding coast. The course is challenging to play, as it requires absolute precision on the narrow fairways. Overall a great course. But there's plenty of negatives: The clubhouse is very dated, the maintenance of the course doesn't seem to be on top of the... More

We felt it was over-hyped. Sure it is beautiful with some magnificent holes but the club house from the 50s or so is in desperate need of a facelift. If you got folks flying in with a helicopter to play a round and charge 170 euro green fees then the condition of the course should be accordingly. Quite some brown... More

What a great course, we played with caddies in rain, then sun, then fog, then overcast sky's - that's Ireland. A great course, long but fair. you get a good look at all the greens, no crazy blind shots into the green. great caddie knowledge. Go play!

Just home from a corporate day out in Waterville, and having been in Ballybunion last week,I am sorry to say there was no comparison at all, from the quality of the course to the standard of the clubhouse, which I am afraid is showing the signs of age. Hopefully it will improve during the year, and I look forward to a better experience

I am a recreational golfer from the mMidwest United States, so a links course was a new privelage and challenge for me. The weather conditions were what you would expect for Ireland, slightly rainy and overcast. The course was in perfect shape during our visit and the starter was helpful and hilarious. The only complaint I would have was that... More

Great course and one of the best in the world. It is quite challenging and not as pressured to play as others in Ireland or Scotland.

I am a recreational golfer. I had never played at such a beautiful course before. It was spectacular. It was a perfect day. The weather was great. The starter - Kevin - was so helpful and nice. He got me started on the 10th hole so I could take my time. It was the best 18 holes I've ever played... More

Waterville is a very good links course but is nothing like as good as it's price suggests. It is as expensive as Kingsbarns, more than The Old Course at St. Andrews (and the New and Jubilee) and much more expensive than many other better links like Silloth on Solway, which is much better value. But they can charge €170 per... More

Was down here in a four ball in August 2014. Great golf course in lovely condition. Having played all the other top courses in South West Ireland I was really looking forward to this trip as it was on my to do list with a long time. The course is a fantastic challenge and the scenery is beautiful. We did... More
