Great course and one of the best in the world. It is quite challenging and not as pressured to play as others in Ireland or Scotland.

I am a recreational golfer. I had never played at such a beautiful course before. It was spectacular. It was a perfect day. The weather was great. The starter - Kevin - was so helpful and nice. He got me started on the 10th hole so I could take my time. It was the best 18 holes I've ever played... More

Waterville is a very good links course but is nothing like as good as it's price suggests. It is as expensive as Kingsbarns, more than The Old Course at St. Andrews (and the New and Jubilee) and much more expensive than many other better links like Silloth on Solway, which is much better value. But they can charge €170 per... More

Was down here in a four ball in August 2014. Great golf course in lovely condition. Having played all the other top courses in South West Ireland I was really looking forward to this trip as it was on my to do list with a long time. The course is a fantastic challenge and the scenery is beautiful. We did... More

We stopped here while making our Ring of Kerry drive. It's a fabulous looking course, with amazing views of the ocean. The humps, bumps, and tall gorse just off the fairways are frightening to us (we are high handicap hackers). The statue of Payne Stewart was very nicely done. He must've loved this place. The prices are sky high, but... More

Nice course. Good views. One of many courses we played throughout Ireland. We had a young lad as a caddie, and he really did know the course. You are suppose to be able to see "hares" everywhere, but it was a cloudy day, so we only saw one, but you sure can smell them!

Coming from Toronto, it's not often I get the chance to play a true links course. Waterville was a real treat and a test with it's layout and incredible views. I'm not sure that I quite had my 'A' game (I should've put the camera away), so it's hard to rate the difficulty, but I will say, you better be... More

I played Waterville on a cloudy and slightly breezy day. Course is well designed, there are some great holes, but I wouldn’t rank it the same level than Ballybunion or Tralee. Neither a bad course nor a bad experience, but Waterville is not part of my favourite layouts in Ireland. All my pictures are available at following link : http://tinyurl.com/ng92atb

A beautiful Kerry day ruined by a golf course in marginal condition. Greens were at best a 4 on a scale one 1-10 and 50 Euro for a golf cart was the salt in the wound. Way over the top.

I am well aware that this course is among the most difficult but also the most beautiful, not only in Ireland but throughout the world. Several times I had the misfortune to have played a very unpleasant wind and rain, but it is like coming back here and I can not imagine staying in Ireland without that I would not... More
