Myself and my husband went here on Saturday night. We came up from the north and have to say the atmosphere was great and the heated bear gardens were an added bonus. They had a brilliant live band on. Had a fantastic night and would definitely recommend it. Also would like to say a huge thankyou to the bar for... More

This bar located in the centre of athlone is a fantastic nights craic. The live band were great and played all sorts of music to suit everyone. Requests were taken which was an even better touch. A big thank you has to go out to the management. My wife lost her phone that night and was found in the pub... More

Nice atmosphere, Usually live music but if it's early sposrts on Tv so also people alone could spent lovely time. Food from restaurant next door: good Pizza + pint of beer for 10 euro. Optimal solution to spent some hours.

My husband and I had a marvelous time at the Sung in Athlone at the end of April 2013. The music and refreshments were outstanding. In addtion the local people, of all ages, made us feel welcome. We couldn't have asked for a better first night in Ireland. Let's just say we closed the place.

This is a friendly pub with good crowds, good music and a wonderful "pint." No food, but plenty of calories.

a group of 7 friends, we visited this pub for our first time on Sat 9th March and had a great night, the band were as good as I've ever heard but they played everything from pop to trad and jazz. A bit small and tight but the music and atmosphere made it worthwhile.
