Went to the visitor centre during a trip to Clare. Wide selection of smoked & local produce, very helpful staff on site. Had a quick nose around the store and there was some great items available, fell in love with a coat but it was a bit beyond my price range. Nice place for a visit if you're passing. More

Nothing really to see. But, the hosts are lovely, and if you like smoked fish, this is a must stop! They make several different kinds, including a spicy salmon that was terrific. More

Within easy striking distance of Doolin, the Burren Smoke House has a fine selection of smoked fish and it travels well without refrigeration for a few days. Note that if you run out of smoked fish you can still pick some up at the duty free shop at Shannon IAP. More
