It's not the most spectacular waterfall you'll ever see, but it's absolutely charming. A lovely, peaceful place by the lough, beautifully kept (short, easy walk up on a well-maintained path through grassy parkland) and very peaceful on an afternoon in May. Visited Glencar Waterfall and Lake on Sunday on one of the sunniest days of the year in Ireland. Two girls were playing music consisting of an accordian and a flute, at the entrance of the Waterfall and this made it even more attractive. Worth the detour from Donegal to Sligo! More

Walk upphill following the creek and see the waterfall. U might go further uphill. Well organized. More

The area surrounding the waterfall and the man-made walkway is well maintained. This is a natural site and has not been over developed. More

This beautiful and peaceful place was immortalised in a poem by the Nobel Laureate William Butlet Yeats. The waterfall is located about 7 km from Sligo. The area has a carpark, toilets and well designed picnic area. Well worth a visit More
