We stopped here as part of a CIE tour. We had lunch at the farmhouse, toured the cemetery with the town ruins and had a sheep dog demonstration. It's a delightful visit. Joe & Mauve are wonderful hosts. The Jerpoint Abbey is across the street. I wish we had had time to visit it too.

Joe greeted and Maeve welcomed us into their lovely home with the best scones, jam and tea. Then Joe took us on a walking tour full of information about the town of St Nicholas. At the end of the tour we enjoyed watching a sheep dog round up the sheep. Joe made the tour so interesting and also with great humor... More

We stopped here as part of our CiE tour of Britain and Ireland in September 2015. Upon arrival, Joe, the farm owner, came on the bus and gave us a briefing, After a comfort break, the group walked to the farm house where Joe's wife, Maeve, served us a very delicious lunch of soup and tea sandwiches. Because we were... More

We stopped here for lunch while on our CIE tour of the British Isles. Joe met us at the bus & explained a bit about his home & how he & his wife came to be caretakers of this beautiful area. We were served a simple Irish lunch of creamed broccoli & cauliflour soup with tea sandwiches and tea. Naive... More

I emailed in advance to get more information but never received a response. Having read the reviews and managements responses we concluded that we would be able to do an unguided tour for a small fee. Having a toddler in tow we didn't feel a guided tour would be suitable. On arrival we parked and were waiting for our son... More

I booked 2 rooms and dinner for family, to celebrate my wife's birthday. Shabby enough, no a/c, and dinner not up to Michelin standards. Disappointing stay, won't be back

We visited here on a sunny September morning and were guided around this fascinating site by Mr.Liam Burke, who has an encyclopaedic knowledge of every square inch of the medieval site. We loved hearing about how the site was excavated over the last 10 years and about how it had been a lost, forgotten village, almost like an Irish Pompeii!... More

Jerpoint Park is a marvellous gem of a place, that shelters (shush! Don't let the children hear!) the tomb of the actual St. Nicholas, the Turkish bishop reputed to be the original Santa Clause! Not only that, but you will also find the remains of a forgotten and vanished medieval town that had flourished on the banks of the Nore... More
