We recently had a European family vacation. Wife and I plus 5 kids 15-24 yrs old. 4 countries in 12 days and this stop was as good as any we did. Extremely interesting and off the beaten path. I would encourage anyone to take the time and do it. Approx 2 hours and 2 of the best. Lots of walking... More

We stopped at Jerpoint Park as part of our custom CIE tour. Joe and Maeve were gracious hosts who shared their home with us. The house is beautiful, the tea and scones delicious, but the best was yet to come! When Joe and Maeve bought Jerpoint as a working sheep, cattle and grain farm, little did they know that they... Visited Jerpoint Farm/Park last week with our CIE tour (Irish Legends). I will sheepishly admit the advertised 'tea and scones at a farm' was a quaint idea, but certainly was not the stop I was most looking forward to. I stand corrected. Joe and Maeve (and kids and staff, and I hope I have your names down correctly) were absolutely... More

We stopped at Jerpoint Park while on a Tour of Ireland with CIE. This was such a quaint authentic part of our trip that for the most part it was a highlight. The weather was cold and wet so the tea and scones make up for it !! Such a beautiful spot to take a tour of Saint Nicolas grave... More

We had a thoroughly enjoyable tour of the ruins, and old tombs, it is a beautiful setting for an old town. The walking tour was very educational, as well as enjoyable. It was a lovely day, and the ruins there are unforgettable. Who would have imagined that Saint Nicholas would be buried way out there. The sheepdog show was amazing,... More

An incredible experience, one I will never forget. Joe, the owner, is an amazing Irish Gent! Thanks for the private tour and history lesson late on a Sunday. A "must see" stop if ever in Ireland. You will not be disappointed. It is also the final resting place of dear St. Nicholas (Santa Claus), Joe will tell you. If you... More

We visited on Easter Monday and were treated to an hour-long tour by the owner. It was a delightful mix of history and geography around the remains of a medieval town where Santa is buried. Yes, THE Santa, St Nicholas of Myra. Time and money (€10 each) well spent.

We visited today (our third day in Ireland), and this is one of the major highlights! We were told about the Park at Jerpoint Abbey, when we inquired about St. Nicholas's grave (yes, that St Nicholas). We showed up late on Sunday afternoon expecting a quick look, but instead were treated to an hour personal tour by the owner. It... More

Went to Jerpoint Park today, was really impressed with visit and guide - Sophie was her first day as guide - she was a mind of information. You could be just take back in time and imagine what the town was like back in those days. Definitely a must visit. Lovely countryside also. Ger. 22/04/2014
