It says a lot for this trip that my 19 year old, who is fairly well travelled and has been to lots of concerts and things teenagers get excited about, said that she would never forget it. We were lucky that we saw porpoises, a mincke whale, and several seals. The high point was definitely that a number of dolphins... More

We really enjoyed our trip with Nic. He was friendly and knowledgeable but not pushy or overbearing. He made it clear from the outset that we might not see anything, which we had suspected anyway. The boat was in really good condition and safety was clearly right at the top of the priority list. In the event, we did see... More

I highly recommend Nic Slocums tour to everyone. Easygoing & knowledgeable, if there are whales in the area Nic will spot them. The Dolphins seem to love him too as some half dozen rode our bow wave for 30mins. There are no words to describe the beauty, grace and spirit of these animals it was a pleasure to share in... More

Both Nic and assistant were courteous. we were very lucky it was a fine day. We were told not to expect to see too much. Main problem was we had such short time to eat anything on Clear Island when we landed but main issue is I think 50 euros is too high and there were four of us and... More

I went out with Nic several times as we usually bring some of our guests from the continent for this very special tour. Other than some irresponsible tours where tourists are just taken out for the sake of money the marine environment means a lot to marine biologist and skipper Nic and every time we learn a lot about the... Great family trip before they go back to school. Nick is so professional and knowledgeable. He was full of information about the animals. We saw a great pod of dolphins who came to play with the boat. We also saw minke whales. Thanks nick for a memorable trip

We took this exploration trip with our 3.5 year old son back in May. After the initial safety instructions we had off to the sea. In the matter of minutes we spotted the flock of dolphins. They obviously liked us, because they were swimming with us for about ten minutes. We were enjoying the curiosity of those animals and suddenly... More

This was to be the highlight of our trip to West Cork this summer. We were not disappointed! Your guide, Nic, will put you at ease with his friendly manner and cheeky banter. He is a fountain of local knowledge and doesn't seem to mind when, in the middle of the safety chat, is upstaged by a diving gannet! The... More

We had a great time whale watching. We saw only a few small whales and lots of seals! Although we only saw a few whales and nothing big it was still a good time. Beautiful scenery. Nic knows his facts not only about whale watching but about the area as well. Everyone should try this whale watching trip.

We had a wonderful day whale watching with Nic, who is authoritative, friendly and helpful in every way. The trip lasted four and a half hours with a stop off for refreshments on Cape Clear island. Great views of the spectacular coast and islands on the way and we saw minke whales, seals and dolphin. We recommend this trip very... More
