Our group took this tour & found it pretty informative and interesting. It was pretty relaxing touring the town on the little train. We should have stayed the night in this town, but had already booked a stay in nearby Cork, which was pretty busy and not nearly as laid back as Cobh.

We arrived in Cobh (Cork) on Sept. 6. We walked off the Brilliance of the Seas ship and the first thing we saw was what looked like Thomas the Train with the familiar blue engine. We did not have a reservation but were able to get on the train for 15 Euros for the two of us. What a bargain.... More

This tour is excellent. Martin the driver is a delight to listen to. In fact when we stopped outside the cathedral for a 10 min break we were counting the minutes to get back on and listen to him.

On last Saturday evening a group of 32 of us had the most entertaining train trip ever in and around the town of Cobh. The driver (cannot remember his name, but know he was a friend of Billy Fravill) was just fantastic. He had a vast amount of knowledge regarding Cobh and its surrounds and what a sense of humour.... We really enjoyed this trip around Cobh. Martin, the driver, was great. He gave us loads of information sprinkled with a lovely sense of Irish humour. It was a great way to see the town without getting exhausted. Definitely worth taking this trip.

Did this road train over the weekend and it was really lovely. Tour guide was very pleasant and helpful. I learned information about Cobh that I never knew before having spent my summers there when I was younger! A lot of information probably goes over children's heads but my husband and I enjoyed it! Lovely thing to do to on... More

We had a couple young children with us who loved the "Thomas the Train" look of this train. The adults all had a good time, too. Martin, our guide, was very funny and gave us lots of interesting information about Cobh. There was a stop above the city with beautiful views of the harbor, and another stop at St. Colman's... A great attraction - a ride on an open sided train around town. Narrated by a very knowledgable local resident. A good first event in Cobh

This trip takes an hour, costing €20.00 for 2 Adults and up to 4 children. The driver was great fun, very informative, my six year old surprised us by listening so intently to his tales of Cobh and the Harbour. Cobh is a beautiful town, well worth a visit. This trip is excellent value and a great way to see... More
