A little jewel

What a lovely experience to sit and contemplate all that we had taken in at Queenstown and the Stateside hotel. Some interesting stonework and wood carvings. Well worth a visit.

It's an uphill climb but both the church and the views are worth it. We loved walking through the church, noting the Irish touches and feel.

Maybe the most beautiful church we have ever seen! Must go inside and walk around. Every corner holds unique and surprising beauty and architecture.

There was a male choir practising when I went in and it totally stopped me in my tracks.. the echo in the Cathedral was so electrifying! Beautiful.. even if you are not religious.

I Was grateful that I did not have to walk up this hill to reach the Cathedral. Set high above Cobh this is well worth a visit with spectacular views over the area.

This village is a must when visiting Southern Ireland, the Museums are very well appointed and informative. Cobh was the last place for picking up people to go on the Titanic on the 11th April 1912

I rated this above average because it is something that all visitors to Cobh should include in their visit. As a Cathedral it is worth visiting, in the classic European situation, a lot of effort has gone into making a beautiful structure, ornate and magnificent. But the visit does provide a great view of the harbor, the big ships did... More

After seeing St. Paul's and Westminister Abbey (London), Notre Dame (Paris), St. Patrick's (New York), it takes a lot to impress a chuch visitor. St Colman's Cathedral in Cobh, Ireland did that and more. Luxurious and beautiful are the first two words that come to mind. There are really no words that can accurately describe this church - it is... More

We literally bumped in to this fabulous cathedral, high on the hill overlooking the town. There is a large Car park where we were able to park the camper van, very useful as mine is a high top for which there are many restrictive car parks. The Cathedral is the best I have ever seen and there have been many.... More
