Not as well known as some of the more famous Kerry courses, but well worth a visit. Links course that is very well layed out with spectacular scenery on every hole. Greens are testing but really enjoyable. Staff in the clubhouse are great and really friendly, food is very good. Highly recommended.

Party of four played this in mid October in beautiful sunshine and no wind! Great welcome from the pro and the clubhouse staff. We got out early just after the seniors medal finished and were looked after by the 4 ball in front of us. The course is excellent and the views fantastic. It is a true links course in... More

We played here two days ago and it is worth the drive. The staff was excellent and very helpful. We even had a nice chat with the vice captain. The course was very nice and challenging. The greens had been over seeded and so they were a bit tough to putt but fair. There were a number of very fun... More

Beautiful layout and challenging to play. I gave it an average rating because a few of the greens ruin it -- just too tricked-up. Worth playing though.

We got a pet day, quiet calm. There is stunning scenery on every hole. I saw a hawk being chased off by about 6 skylarks and a hare stood within 6 feet of me. I think the plants included ferns, heather and whortleberry. From tee to green there is hardly a better course but the greens, the greens! The ground... More

I had the pleasure of true links golf today at Dooks. Great practice area with chipping , bunker and putting. Would recommend practice putting at the chipping area as the undulations are similar to the greens The best caddie is Shawn Roche. He is a legend and a gentleman. Listen to him and he will save you infinite pain. The... More

Played Dooks as part of a three round Shamrock Pass deal (Dooks, Killarney and Caen Sibeal) Have to say, Dooks was by far our favorite. True links golf, and we were extremely glad there wasn't a draft of wind that day. Greens were immaculate and very challenging. Views were beautiful and pace of play was just right.

I played Dooks on our way from Killarney to Waterville on an extremely windy day, but I enjoyed it very much. The forward tees for men were the right length for my 73 year old game at just 6,000 yards. The restaurant and bar were perfect for my wife who spent her time reading a book and having tea while... While Dooks isn't of the same class as out links courses in the area it is none the less an enjoyable round of golf. The caddies were good and knowledgeable about the course. Younger than usual but members that knew the track. I recommend you give Dooks a try. You'll be pleased.

We retained a caddie who showed the ins and outs of this beautiful and rugged course. There were terrific views on each hole. The golfers all around us were very pleasant as well.
