Had the pleasure of playing Dooks for the first time today in the company of 6 Canadians here on a golfing holiday. A very enjoyable experience for everyone. Everyone we met, reception staff, Michelle the director of golf, caddies, restaurant/bar staff and members made us very welcome. We found the course to be challenging and the views spectacular. A real... More

We had played Carne, Enniscrone, Dingle, Lahinch prior to our visit to Dooks. I had read that if the author had one course to play before he left Ireland, it would be Dooks. I heartily agree. It was a pleasure.

A group of eight guys on golf trip. We played Doonbeg, Lahinch, Ballybunion Old; Waterville; Dooks and Tralee. This course when you drive up to clubhouse doesn't look like much and you can't tell from car park that its on the water. After a pedestrian first hole you see the layout on the second tee. This is a very good... More

This golf course is a great find. I made a mistake when making our tee times and Michelle was very helpful in helping make some changes. The course has some spectacular views. I say that after playing some great golf courses both in Ireland, Scotland and home. The 6 of us agreed that when we go back to Ireland we... More

Dear Michelle, Thank you for your continued customer service! I would like to share our experience at Dooks with you and your management team. We came to Ireland from Chicago for an 8 day 7 course golf trip. We golfed all of the popular and familiar named courses, but most of us had not heard of Dooks. I can't stress... More

I found this more traditional links course a little easier to play than the more recently constructed Waterville course. It’s also more accessible, requiring only a 45 minute journey by coach from Killarney. Both courses have roots going back to the late 1800s but Dooks is member owned as distinct from Waterville, which is a privately owned resort, and probably... More

My son in law wanted to play golf in ireland my daughter booked us in as it was near where we were staying. They could not have been more friendly, sorted out hire clubs and did us a great deal. Usually take our own but for one round too expensive on Ryanair. Even help my brother out who had left... More

During our golf trip, we played Waterville, Dooks, Tralee, Ballybunion, Doonbeg and Lahinch over six days. After playing all the courses, we rated Dooks as the course that we could play every day and not get tired of playing the course. The course is challenging but did not beat you up if you missed the fairway. The 10th hole was... More

This is a course that your tour operator may overlook but you must play it. We had a group of 16 in Sept 2013 and absolutely every single person loved it. On a nice day this course is as scenic as you can get. While still very challenging it is very playable with reasonable rough. A trip to Southwest Ireland... More
