A wonderful place for a long stroll with stunning scenery on a clear day. A 5km stretch of soft sand, recommended for surfing but sadly no waves on the day we visited. Words can't describe how stunning this location is -- miles of nearly empty beach, rolling grassy dunes, green hills framing the bay. Fabulous views of the sunset, too. Visited Rossbeigh - decided to try some horse riding when we saw Burke's Trekking Centre - had a wonderful experience. Lovely quiet horses - magical walking & trotting on water's edge on beach - kids really enjoyed it too. Definately hope to repeat the experience during the summer. More

We stopped here on our Ring of Kerry drive. It was a nice break for food and we saw surfers riding the waves in Ireland. They have park benches or you can bring a blanket and sit on the beach and soak in the sun rays. More

been going to rossbeigh for 20 years staying in a cottage,very basic but the beach is fantastic 6miles walk to the end, 6miles back, just me my wife & our little dog whats the rush?,no rush More
