A Saturday afternoon, in January, craft beers and rugby on the tv in a pub with buckets of olde world charm. Love it!

I've been returning to The Greyhound almost every year since I emigrated in 1988. It's never changed both in decor and it's unrivalled friendliness, now happening in the guise of the current barman, Stephen, who hails from Galway. I had great fun watching Galway play Kerry at Gaelic football on the bar's TV, enjoying Stephen's witty observations. The Guinness was... More

Dark wood , little light, warped floor boards, tilting walls, small doorways, smell of Guinness on tap, what could be more authentic for a pub established in 1690?! You can sit inside at the tiny bar or in an adjoining room, or at outdoor tables. It is on a small back alley facing little private homes, lovely setting. The proprietor may... More

It was a Tuesday night in November so there wasn't too much going on. We headed to The Greyhound and we were not disappointed. I wish I could remember the name of the guy working...he was quite funny with a dry sense of humor. Love it! We sat outside by the heater and enjoyed pints and cocktails for a bit.... More

Find the Greyhound! It is a typical old style pub full of locals and character. I really enjoyed the little sngs in the side room. We had a wonderful time there!

Great atmosphere. Great Guinness. Small old traditional Irish pub in the heart of the town. Great outdoor area.

Sorry to older people but most of the bars, pubs & lounges in Kinsale were full of oldies or families with children running around. Trust me, I walked around town several times and there was nothing else. A woman working in a big gift shop told me to try the Greyhound after I told her I was bored & all... More

We dropped into this little bar one evening about 5pm. There are several snugs, the barman came to our little part of the lounge and lit a big log and coal fire and was so friendly. The guinness was wonderful and so reasonably priced. A little gem of a pub.

kinsale is a rather posh town with attitudes to go with. The Greyhound is a 400 year old pub that is actually a cool place to drink with local people, not tarted up for tourists. Awesome music, a cast of characters and someone's friendly dog roaming around make this a fun place for a drink. If you are much over... More
