7.30 pm visit to The Lord Kingsale - waited ages to order drinks at the bar for my wife and I but the bearded bartender completely ignored me, serving others who I suspected were locals and who arrived after me. I attempted to communicate but was again ignored which was very strange. I'm Irish and spent a lot of my... More

To be honest, we were a bit surprised when our meals turned out to be some of the BEST we had during our 2-Week vacation in IRELAND. The place looked good. The menu looked good. But when we looked inside, there were no diners. I don't know what made us take the plunge, but we walked in & gave this... More

We were walking the streets and enjoying the Irish settings and step back in time when we happened upon The Lord Kingsale. It was comfortable, the food delicious and the beers were perfect. We were having so much fun that we didn't want to leave and walk back to our cruise ship, but logic stepped in and we moved on.... More

This is the place to get the full Irish experience. Even though the guest rooms are a little dated, the time we spent there was wonderful! Maureen and Michael are very sweet and make a killer breakfast! The pub is right under the rooms(we couldn't hear a peep when we were sleeping), so when you're ready to go to bed... More

Our boys soccer team and parents visited Kinsale on Easter Sunday and were lead to this lovely place by our walking tour guide, Don from DON & BARRY's KINSALE HISTORIC STROLL. With only a few days to plan, Maureen kindly called me and put together a lovely meal with choices that fit both teens and adults. Poached cod, Irish beef,... More

The proprietors are very warm and friendly. We had a terrific time! We were there on Tuesday, March 12, 2013. We just popped in for a "quick" Guiness and maybe just "one" wiskey. I was so impressed with the place I bought a round of drinks for everyone in the bar!! It was FANTASTIC!! From the Riley Family (Terry, Debbie... More

We visited Kinsale just after Christmas and having reviewed some of Kinsales hotels and B&Bs on line we choose the Lord Kingsale and what a choice we made. From the start we were greeted with burning fires, cosy corners, fantastic and friendly staff, not forgetting the owners who couldn't do enough for us, and its excellent accommodation. The town was... More

We spent a week going back to the Lord Kingsale. Michael is a wonderful publican host. The lunches there are truly delicious and we ate there a few times. You will always feel at home at the Lord Kingsale!

We were there for the jazz weekend (by accident we stumbled upon it). Great jazz band and very good pub food. the beer was cold and the help friendly!
