We had the younger of the two (I think it was Barry) and he was an excellent storyteller. Learned a lot of the history of Kinsale and it's significance to Irish history. Very fascinating and he kept it very light, fast paced, and interesting. . We would not have known a fraction of the background of the town without this... More

Every time we mentioned our upcoming trip to Ireland, friends invariably said, " You must get to Kinsale! " and in the next breath they would add, " and don't miss the walking tour!" They were so right. The town is a breathtaking jewel that can be enjoyed in its own right, but when Barry led us through the streets,... More

We took Barry's tour on a sunny Sunday morning in October. The tour was fantastic, I could almost see the Spanish entering the harbor. He knows and understands his town. He relayed the history of Kinsale with enthusiasm -- like he was telling the story for the first time. As I said it was sunny when we started. He brought... More

Barry led us on a tour of old Kinsale that was excellent. He provided us an informative overview of the town and took us to its key features. At each stop he enthusiastically explained the purpose and/or role the feature/structure had and did so in an entertaining way. We highly recommend this tour. It will greatly enhance your visit. Barry... More

Don and Barry's Historic Stroll in Old Kinsale was absolutely one of the favorites of my entire trip to Ireland. We got to the visitor's center a few minutes after the tour had left, but we were able to catch up and join the group. Barry was our guide and he was fantastic. Kinsale is nothing but lovely and Barry... More

Kinsale is beautiful and Barry's knowledge and enthusiasm makes this tour a must. Barry sent us information on our Irish ancestors so we could do further research.

On our multi-village tour of western Ireland we bumped into some other travelers to share our experiences and future stops. When they heard we were headed to Kinsale, they adamantly stressed that we must do Barry's walking tour. Okay, we gave it a go and are very glad we did. A wonderful mix of history, culture, humor, and recommendations for... More

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and the mix of history and culture was excellent. Really gave us a good perspective of the area, the country and influence on world events that occurred here. A definitely must when in Kinsale.
