Hi, My husband and I have just spent a wonderful week near the truly beautiful town of Kinsale and one of the highlights of our stay was Don & Barry's Historic walking tour, which was really fantastic! History became alive! Centuries of local culture and customs, industries and battles were explained to us so clearly and in such an interesting... More

Barry really changed my perspective on guided tours. I usually prefer self-guided walks, but Barry's storytelling helped me learn so much more about Kinsale than I would ever have discovered on my own. Instead of just pointing out local attractions, he wrapped the geography of the village and the harbor into a tale about warring kingdoms, pirates, and global commerce.... More

Barry was a friendly, animated guide whose enthusiasm for and knowledge of the history of Kinsale made my husband and I sad that our stay was so short! More

Barry was absolutely fabulous! Information about Kinsale that you would never know unless you took this tour. Planning your trip? This is a MUST do! And make sure you ask for Barry (although I'm sure that Don is quite capable too :-) ) More

Barry led us on a fun and informative tour. He was a wealth of information on Kinsale's history. After our tour he gave us tips on "must see" places during our next stops on our self guided 2 week trip. More

We had Barry on a rainy morning in Kinsale. His knowledge was deep on the area and greater Ireland, with suggestions on what to do as we got further away. He engaged everyone on the tour in turn, and seemed truly interested in people. When I asked his background after the tour, he mentioned he did a few Rick Steve's... More

Don & Barrys tour was such good fun, I learnt loads about Kinsale as we strolled around the little quaint streets, Don the tourguide, pointed out all the historic things like the old museum, the marina and castles. He even gave us great tips about where to have our lunch and where the free parking was in kinsale. Brilliant morning... More

Barry knows the history and, more important, brings it alive. He shows the story, doesn't just tell it. My most enthusiastic recommendation... Paul from Saginaw More
