Great morning walking in Kinsale with Barry. Fascinating and engaging talk followed by splendid lunch in Fishy Fishy.

Extremely enlightening and informative. Barry was entertaining and engaging. Sometimes walking tours can become power walks but this was done at a pleasant pace. Felt connected to the town after learning of its history.

What a wonderful stroll! I traveling through Ireland with 13 college students studying in various disciplines who have researched Irish history and culture. Barry met us at the bus and he immediately engaged the students in conversation about their various studies, and then began unravelling the region's history, tying it to literature, economics, and identity. We were enthralled as he... More

We had Barry as our guide. It was a rainy, cold day, Barry brought umbrellas for all of us. We had a wonderful tour even with the weather. He made the history of Kinsale so interesting and brought it to life. We saw things in Kinsale we would not have seen on our own. He also gave us tips on... More

We met up with Don Herlihery in the center of town and had a delightful, engaging walking tour of Kinsale. Don has been doing this tour for many years and has a wealth of fascinating information on the history on Kinsale. Well worth taking this tour.

We spent another lovely day walking about the fascinating medieval city of Kinsale. We have enjoyed both Barry and Don on these excursions. They are kind, knowledgeable AND entertaining. We highly recommend their tour, it is well worth your time and money.

We had the younger of the two (I think it was Barry) and he was an excellent storyteller. Learned a lot of the history of Kinsale and it's significance to Irish history. Very fascinating and he kept it very light, fast paced, and interesting. . We would not have known a fraction of the background of the town without this... More

Every time we mentioned our upcoming trip to Ireland, friends invariably said, " You must get to Kinsale! " and in the next breath they would add, " and don't miss the walking tour!" They were so right. The town is a breathtaking jewel that can be enjoyed in its own right, but when Barry led us through the streets,... More

We took Barry's tour on a sunny Sunday morning in October. The tour was fantastic, I could almost see the Spanish entering the harbor. He knows and understands his town. He relayed the history of Kinsale with enthusiasm -- like he was telling the story for the first time. As I said it was sunny when we started. He brought... More
