Barry's talk on Kinsale was amazing! He is so well versed and knowledgable on the importance of the town and how it related to so many other people & cultures. Barry was very witty and kept even my sixteen year olds attention for the whole hour tour. (Not an easy feat!) Not to be missed!!

My mother and I took the tour with Barry while visiting Kinsale for the first time. I would recommend this to anyone visiting the area. It was extremely informative, fun, and all around one of the best "day trips" we took during our entire visit to Ireland.

My husband and I chose this tour through TripAdvisor and we were not disappointed. We were taken around the beautiful city of Kinsale on foot with Barry as he spoke to us about Kinsale's history. He made sure to speak to everyone and made us all feel welcome and truly part of a group. He is a very knowledgeable guide,... More

If you only have a few hours in Kinsale, make it a point to do Barry's tour....he's so engaging, knowledgeable, funny, clever, and helpful. If you have more than a few hours, do his recommended walk to Fort Charles. Of Course, you must stop at the pub on the way (he will tell you the name of it) and have... More

Barry has a love of history that is infectious. He is so warm and engaging that it doesn't feel like a history lesson at all - it is more like having a friend show you the points of town and their place in history. Barry grew up in Kinsale and amusingly shares some of his experiences. He engaged everyone (10... More

Don gave a very informative tour of this charming town, and we enjoyed it even though the wind and humidity made the temperature "real feel" a brisk 38 F that day. This tour is a great way to get an overview of Kinsale. As one of us pointed out, you'd have to read a lot of different books to get... More

Barry was the best tour guide we could have hoped for. He was friendly, informative, funny and personable. Our group loved his tour and would have probably stayed for another hour. I highly recommend Don & Barry's Historic Stroll in Old Kinsale to enhance your visit to Kinsale.

We toured Kinsale in a soft rain, but Barry kept the mood lively and fun, talking with everyone and relating 400 years of history to the world today. Overall, it was the best tour we've experienced.

We commented multiple times throughout our trip about the fact that we wish we could bring Barry around all of Ireland with us to be our personal tour guide. There's not much more to say that hasn't already been said, except that Barry was great at discussing the history of Kinsale in a way that was not condescending to non-history... More
