Great place

Curious place to take the kids to get in touch with the wonderful animals, not just the burros! Very nicely laid out too.

Having visited this beautiful place a few times, we never get tired of going back. The donkeys are in magnificent condition, the staff are welcoming and friendly. Well worth a visit for a picnic or just a walk around.

We were impressed by just how many donkeys have been helped by the Donkey Sanctuary. They all seem very happy, and there's some good information around to read about the good work they do. The donkeys are all different, of course, but there's the chance to interact with some of the more confident residents when they spot you and come... More

It was my first time visiting the Donkey Sanctuary. I've two children aged 7 and 2 that love the outdoors and their teddies so I thought why not. It only took us 20 mins to go there so no long car journey or tantrums. There was plenty of parking available across the road. Once there it only cost us €5... More

Fab two hours with the kids, lots of noisy donkeys to watch, good walks and it's free! We always buy something in the shop though to support the sanctuary.

There is a path around the farm leading in between the different donkey fields. All together the fields hold over 100 donkeys. Each donkey also has a "necklace" which has their name and gender. On our visit we also got to socialize with baby donkeys. Most of the donkeys come up to the fence to be pet and will snuggle... More

Great for children. Very pictureseque setting. The sanctuary does great work in animal rescue and the visit is educational

I was reared with donkeys they are so beautiful . interesting caring intelligent and humble some times they can shy into the dyke they have lovely colors the winkers must be put on pro ply and their hoofs must be looked after it is not fair to be cruel to them because they are doom animals.

This is a wonderful place to take kids for a few hours but the weather is important. There are several walks around the sanctuary some are up hill and others are less strenuous. There a literally hundreds of donkeys here with many different stories; a lot are sad but all of the donkeys are now well cared for and have... More
