A lovely place to visit. Very well kept and the staff are very friendly. Might suggest that they put in some sort of play area for kids but that is merely a suggestion. It is off that track slightly but well worth it. Something very relaxing about the place and lovely to see the donkeys been so well cared for.... More

This is a fabulous location and a place that I expect has lots of its visitors returning again and again. The staff are friendly and helpful. The walkways and views are spectacular, the grounds well maintained and the main residents 'the donkeys, mules and jennets' are a delight to meet. The animals look well cared for, appear happy and content... More

So glad we did. it is a true little haven, it is so well kept and you can spend as much time as you want, wandering around, picnicking, just chatting to the residents!!!... More

Picnic area and great walks - children loved meeting the donkeys and learning about the sanctuary. Video of history of the sanctuary a must

We made a special trip here from Killarney- it seemed like it'd be a bit far (and it was) but it was worth it. Really different and unique. Totally free to visit. But, we "adopted" a donkey for the year for a very reasonable donation. They gave us a bag with the donkey's photo on it, and then when we... More

Well worth a visit. You will spend about an hour there and entrance fee is a voluntary contribution. Great for kids to touch the donkeys

Although it requires a diversion from the typical tourist path, a visit to The Donkey Sanctuary is well worth it. We visited after stopping at the Rock of Cashel, arriving about 45 minutes before they closed. I wasn't sure what to expect but was more than impressed with the quality of care and amount of space for the donkeys. They... More

Day#63 with my #100happydays journey since Dad passed away! Dad & I made 3 attempts to visit the Donkey Sanctuary Liscarroll but through requests for assistance and phonecalls to help elsewhere, Dad & I never made it there. It was always put off for another day, that just did not happen. This was another visit ticked off our list of... More

The staff are very friendly. The donkeys are adorable. One fellow kept braying he was hilarious. They are so well taken care of and the babies were just gorgeous. Grounds are very well maintained. I was panned out after the farm walk but it was a lovely hike. Cant wait to adopt a donkey and cant wait to return to... More
