Day#63 with my #100happydays journey since Dad passed away! Dad & I made 3 attempts to visit the Donkey Sanctuary Liscarroll but through requests for assistance and phonecalls to help elsewhere, Dad & I never made it there. It was always put off for another day, that just did not happen. This was another visit ticked off our list of... More

The staff are very friendly. The donkeys are adorable. One fellow kept braying he was hilarious. They are so well taken care of and the babies were just gorgeous. Grounds are very well maintained. I was panned out after the farm walk but it was a lovely hike. Cant wait to adopt a donkey and cant wait to return to... More

Since donkeys are one of my favorite animals I had to go and pay the donkeys a visit. The sanctuary is very easy to find, there is plenty of free parking and also, there is no admission to the sanctuary. However, it is highly appreciated if visitors donate to the sanctuary. They have free and clean bathrooms, a gift shop... More

Our trip to Ireland wouldn't be complete without a trip to see donkeys! These donkeys, of which there are many(!) have been rescued and cared for by this establishment. A beautiful walk around the sanctuary, benches along the way. I saw families with children and picinics. You can pet all the donkeys who come up to the fences.

I spent the day walking around and looking at the donkeys. It shares their information and pictures so you can see how they have been cared for and what state they came in first. It is mucky walking around so bring wellies! There is a little cattery and gift shop. i would def go back!

By far much better than any nature park or preserve around, the donkey sanctuary in Liscarroll, Co Cork has it all. Spectacular views, well maintained facilities and acres and acres of friendly donkeys! It is clear that the staff care for the donkeys a great deal, and they maintain the grounds impeccably. Please visit and donate to help keep this... More

Lovely place to visit with friendly staff and residents. Can walk on the paths around the paddocks and read information about various donkeys - some heartbreaking stories to be told. They are lovely - come up the the fence for petting. Clean toilets and refreshments available in the shop. Entrance is free but made a donation and bought some items... More
