Nice walk round on a sunny day. The children enjoyed the summer treasure hunt and patting the donkeys.

What a fabulous place. The donkies look so happy and healthy. The little shop is lovely, the lady behind the counter friendly and welcoming. The place is so clean and tidy. Love the plaques and benches in memory of people. There's a great little picnic area too. A lovely walk around all the paddocks. They do so much good work... More

A lovely place to visit. Very well kept and the staff are very friendly. Might suggest that they put in some sort of play area for kids but that is merely a suggestion. It is off that track slightly but well worth it. Something very relaxing about the place and lovely to see the donkeys been so well cared for.... More

This is a fabulous location and a place that I expect has lots of its visitors returning again and again. The staff are friendly and helpful. The walkways and views are spectacular, the grounds well maintained and the main residents 'the donkeys, mules and jennets' are a delight to meet. The animals look well cared for, appear happy and content... More

We made a special trip here from Killarney- it seemed like it'd be a bit far (and it was) but it was worth it. Really different and unique. Totally free to visit. But, we "adopted" a donkey for the year for a very reasonable donation. They gave us a bag with the donkey's photo on it, and then when we... More

Well worth a visit. You will spend about an hour there and entrance fee is a voluntary contribution. Great for kids to touch the donkeys

Although it requires a diversion from the typical tourist path, a visit to The Donkey Sanctuary is well worth it. We visited after stopping at the Rock of Cashel, arriving about 45 minutes before they closed. I wasn't sure what to expect but was more than impressed with the quality of care and amount of space for the donkeys. They... More
