Three musicians were practising, the priest was... More

All I need say, is if you want to visit a place that oozes peace and serenity, this is the place to go. St. Finbarres Church on the lake is a beautiful example of Ireland's old churches and the forest park nearby is a little gem for a quiet walk. Go Go Go!!! There is a hotel/tearoom nearby so you... Fabulous little church in a stunning location, well worth the drive out from Macroom if you are in the area. The church is tiny but perfectly formed.

Could not get into the Park to drive around as this was closed due to tree felling until June 2014. The scenery is this area is breath taking . A visit to St Finbarr's Monestary (Oratiory) or small church out in the Lake on a little island. The Church has some lovely stained glass windows, and just behind the Church... More

This is an area myself and family love to visit to get away from everyday hustle of life. It is peaceful quiet and can be visited any time of the year weather permitting, just ensure you have good clothing and footwear. Various paths can be walked with differing degrees of difficulty, you can even bring your car for a small fee, though to... More
