I had a snack at Foxford Woolen Mills, walked about the town, a local person told me about a curiosity/antique shop, a bit disappointed, none found.

The heading says it all really. Pretty enough but nothing special. Spent some time at the Woolen MIlls. Same old same old and pricey. Sorry! But that's the way it was for me.

I've been living in Foxford for 3 months now. I have a wonderful view of the River Moy where a hero and a cormorant couple enjoy the river too. Right across from my home are a male, female and fold horses who keep me company. Town is quiet. There are a number of lovely restaurants, pubs, hotels, and lest I forget... More

"Quaint" that's the word that springs to mind. A lovely little village that's clean and tidy. Has a bit of everything and is easy for access to Castlebar, Swinford, Ballina etc.. Take a trip to the Woolen Mills well worth a visit.

Very homely, warm and has a lot of great wee pubs. The people are very polite and friendly also. Just a short drive outside of the village and you will be met with beautiful scenery.

Foxford is one of the most beautiful villages I've visited in Mayo county, on the banks of the River Moy.
