We literally stumbled through the door of this unique and original pub in Dingle. We were warmly welcomed by the lads at the bar. "Come in fer a pint?" Sure! We replied and so we did. Friendly conversations ensued with the locals.

This is the real deal. Like stepping back in time. Authentic Irish pub complete with two "snugs" for private conversation. Wonderful place to visit and have a pint!

This is the kind of place that immediately feels like home (if your home feels like 1940 in a 150 year old general store with a bar in it)! The sign outside can be confusing if you don't know what you're looking for -- it says Haberdashery, and when you walk in you aren't immediately sure that they aren't still... More

We wandered in here after shopping at the nearby stores. I actually had "parked" my husband and his newspaper in the outdoor area out back while I finished up my shopping. When I returned we wandered inside to get some liquid refreshment. We knew nothing of this wonderful little bar. What a great afternoon break! The bar is incredible...you can... More

I'd read about Dick Mack's and insisted we stop there when we drove through Dingle. The proprietor was very friendly, despite the fact that we were there just a little before he opened for the day. He let us take pictures behind the bar, and gave us wonderful advice about the route to Doolin. In short, the visit was too... More

Im italian living in Ireland since three years, never seen such a lovely pub: the atmosphere, the furnitures seem to go back to some 18th's Century Pirate story, but not in an artificial way at all! 5 stars and more for the Barman, to meet him and drink a pint if you are travelling around Dingle is a MUST! Travel back in time to when the cobbler did his stuff on the left and the old geezers had a pint on the right. This is a cracker of a pub!

Great old pub, looks like it was a shoe store originally, and half the old shoe boxes still adorn the shelves. You can spend hours just looking at the walls, etc. not much in the way of seating so be prepared to stand. Seems to be a favourite amongst the locals too.

Went in to the pub by chance in the dark of night, during the bank holiday. Wow! The interior makes you want to stay until they close. Lots of nice people to talk to. Bigger then you first think, more rooms to explore behind the first where you enter.

Visited Dick Macks a few times and have loved it everytime. Met the lovely Oliver on our last visit but unfortunately he wasn't there this time. A pub full of character and history. Delicious pint of Guinness. I am literally counting the days to be able to go back! An absolute must in Dingle.
