For someone from London, used to imitation Irish pubs, Dick Mac's was initially a bit of a shock, but with five minutes I loved it. We spent a very pleasant hour huddled around the fire in the side room chatting to the man himself.

My friends and I were shopping in Dingle before heading back to Adare when we walked in thinking it was an antique store. (duh) On the left was a station where the original owner would sell and repair boots and to the right was a bar. I knew this place was legit when I realized there were two snugs in... More

I went here for the Wren on St. Stephens day last week. I had a very very nice and strong baileys coffee. Totally relaxed atmosphere, really welcoming, cool barman. What more can you ask for. Looking forward to going back!

I spent a night here drinking with the locals and drinking many (MANY) pints of Guiness! Such a great little hang out, you feel welcome right in the door. Everyone was talking about a million things and laughing just about as much. At one point, the man next to me pulled out a recorder and led everyone in an old... More

Went here for a drink only but could have stayed all day. The atmosphere inside is so authentic and a perfectly preserved time capsule that it cannot be likened to any other pub/bar. If you're lucky enough to find Oliver, the owner (and descendant of the original Dick Mack) in the bar, do take the time and trouble to chat... More

Spend a wonderful afternoon and evening with the locals over a pint of Guinness!! You will spend many happy hours chatting and mixing with the locals in a True Blue, Dyed in the Wool...Irish Pub!!! The Price is Right...the company is Grand....A cozy place for a chilly, damp Irish Day or Night or Both!!!

What a fun and funky little bar this is! Was a small group and locals and tourists when we arrived in this unusual little pub. All were talking and laughing together and immediately included us in the conversation which was zinging off in all directions. Lots of laughter and drinks. Probably the most welcoming pub we encountered during our entire... More

We went to Dingle as opposed to the Ring of Kerry, don't regret it a bit. While the road on the way in is a bit treacherous, coming over the mountain and seeing Dingle in the sunlight was awesome. Needed some refreshment, and were curious about Irish Whisky, from previous reviews we figured this was the place to try. The... More

Dingle is beautiful, and this pub has a wonderful vibe. Not the traditional music or pub fare you might find in other places (there is none), but charming, friendly locals great conversation, and a historic authenticity (when pubs were also shops during the day). Lively, with everyone ready to strike up a conversation, locals and travelers alike.
