Description: The brewery is based the old creamery building on Spa Rd.,Dingle. Opened...
The brewery is based the old creamery building on Spa Rd.,Dingle. Opened in 1888 the creamery became the economic epicenter of the Dingle Peninsula and was a vital commercial center for the area, especially after 1916 and the following troubled years which had left the economy, especially agriculture, in a perilous state. The owners of Dingle Brewing Co., have been mindful of the place that this building has in the history of the area and have lovingly restored it, retaining its charm and character. By running the brewery and also offering tours to the general public and tourist market the Dingle Brewing Co. hope to restore the level of importance which this building had previously enjoyed and make it an essential part of the Dingle experience as well as providing employment for people in the town. As well as offering tours they will be producing ‘Tom Crean’s’ Premium Irish Lager’, the first pint of which will be poured, quite fittingly, in the South Pole Pub, Annascaul, Co. Kerry. The very pub, which the great man Tom Crean ran after retiring from his Antarctic expeditions. The lager will be available initially in selected osupplied as demand dictates. The Dingle Brewing Co. is aiming to rejuvenate the unique atmosphere of socialising in an Irish pub by producing a premium Irish lager which will appeal to both the public and the publican alike and provide a focal point for friends to get together, enjoying that unique atmosphere, each others company and a pint or a glass of ‘Crean’s’

They only have one type of beer -- a lager -- and the "tour" is just a self-guided walk through their brewery where not a lot seems to be going on. The exhibits are nicely done, with one area dedicated to how beer is made and the history of brewing in Ireland, another section regarding the building's history as a... More

We went here as we had half an hour to spare. We weren't dissapointed. Don't think it would suit young children as not enough to keep them occupied, but for adults it's very interesting reading about the unsung heating that it was named after. Also had a pint if creans at the end of the tour.

We visited the Dingle Brewery while on a road trip around the Dingle Peninsula. The tour is self guided and includes a great history of Tom Crean's journeys to Antarctica. Tom Crean's Premium Irish Lager is a very nice brew and you can walk down the hill to Dingle's pubs and harbor.

This is a short self guided tour around the Creans micro brewery. The brewing room has a good amount of information and background on brewing and the history of site and Mr Crean. There is an entry fee of aournd €7 but this does include a pint of their excellent lager. Those who brew their own or are regular brewery... More

We tagged along with an English tour - nothing different from other breweries, but tasting the beer was great! Our favorite beer from our 2 week trip! Hard to get outside of Dingle. Walkable up the hill from the Dingle center.

This brewery is a lovely, feel-good place to visit. It's not big, having been converted from the old creamery, but it provides a great experience into micro brewing. The lager is the best tasting and purest beer we have enjoyed for many a year (since a visit to Germany actually)....

Just a quick walk out of Dingle city center we found the Dingle Brewery Company. The beer is our new favorite. Just wish we could get it in the U.S.!

I would recommend skipping this if you are pressed for time. I was here a week so it was okay to spend an hour here but there are so many gorgeous places to visit on the Dingle Peninsula that this isn't a must-see. You pay for this (I think it was 7 euros) and then take a self-guided tour. The... More

Coming here was definitely worth the drive. The beer (only one type) was fantastic and the staff was super friendly and great. Self guided tour was simple but fascinating. Definitely worth a visit!
