We went on the advice of Rick Steve. There is a charge - honor system - and it is well maintained and worth checking out if you are in Kenmare for a few days. But having been to Newgrane (north of Dublin) and Stonehenge it is a let down. Not a lot of info and on a very small scale.... More

We visited late at night under the moonlight and again in the morning to take photos. This is an easy 5 minute walk from downtown Kenmare. We also enjoyed taking photos of the houses and gardens along the way to the Stone Circle. The Drombeg Stone Circle on the drive from Cork/Cobh out to Mizen Head Peninsula seemed a bit... More

Well sign posted and a nice little 2 min walk from Tourist Info Centre. The circle is in good condition and has atmosphere. An honesty box system operates for £2. Worth the visit. More

This historic site is hard to find but worth seeing. If you are interested in historic things it is recommended. If you are looking to be entertained by a tour guide and finding a shopping mall- don't go here. The stone circle is similar is appearance to Stonehenge. More

The Stone Circle is very old and the explanation of how it got there was interesting. It's a 5-minute walk from the Tourist Information Centre. It takes about 2 minutes to see the circle and read the explanation. More

Interesting and worth the walk. Nothing to compare with Stonehenge or Avebury, but gives you a good comparison for the type of circles that were more common More

If you are a stone circle junkie like me, you will LOVE this place. Just on the edge of town, I was blown away by the grounds, the flowers, the overall experience of this place. My husband were there just at dusk with no one around. It was amazing..... More
