We visited this demonstration farm and learned so much about the area, the history, the owner's family whose property you can see from the hilltop. The owner was raised a stones throw from this farm and they have worked diligently to restore and maintain this little farm. The quality of woolen products was only surpassed by the selection. Wow, I... More

An excellent way to spend a couple of hours, this is set in amazing countryside with beautiful views all around. The gift shop is extensive with a massive selection of local items. The house is interesting and gives a real feel of what life was like for so many country people for hundreds of years. The walk around the farm... More

I had the distinct pleasure of visiting Molly Gallivan's Cottage and Farm with my tour in August. It was an amazing evening spent with Steve and his family. We were greeted warmly by our host, Steve and taken on a tour of the working farm. I had the pleasure of meeting 2 very nice donkey's, a cow and a lovely... More

We happened on this place by chance and almost did not stop as it was the end of our day and we did not want another gift shop. The view from the side of the road drew us inside quickly before closing time. Shawn and Molly were so friendly. Had we known that we were so close to our destination... More

We stopped here for the view (which is wonderful) and questioned whether to go to the shop or not. Thankfully we decided to go into the shop. The staff was wonderful (even offering a sampling of potcheen). The prices were very good and we were glad we spent some time and money here

we were taken to Molly's as part of an HF walking holiday, I was worried it would be awful but I was pleasantly surprised. We had a lesson on how to make Potchin and as tasting then we had a meal of really good Irish Stew. There was a Ceildh with a very good story teller. It was obviously for... More

Situated half way between Kenmare and Glengariff, this old Irish homestead has been preserved with much of the old furniture, household appliances and machinery of 18th - 19th century. Worth a visit and a walk around the small farmyard as well as a small shop & cafe.

We found Molly's quite by accident on a spin out through Glengariff this week and I must say it was one of the highlights of our holiday. Firstly, the location is breathtaking - the view across the road is spectacular and well worth stopping off for but then when adding in Molly's it becomes a must. After the drive across... More

The story of Molly Gallivan's was wonderful and being able to walk the area and see the different sites was fascinating. Even better were the stunning views looking across the valley. What an informative story from Ireland's history! As an added benefit, the large gift shop was well stocked with loads of different merchandise.
