We stopped here with a small tour (24 people) and had a great time.Stephen, our guide, was interesting and a whole lot of fun besides, and the place was just lovely. The poitin demo was one of my favorite things, as was the story about the standing (well, kind of lying) stone the owner found after he bought the place.... More

A most unexpected delight at Molly Gallivan's. It was a blustery day but the heartfelt dedicated staff warmed our hearts with story, brew, and the best educational walking tour of our entire trip. Like visiting a small farm in the U.S., we walked through and talked about this old farm and the whys and wherefores it was laid out as... More

We took our 7 year old daughter to Molly Gallivan's to see Santa following a recommendation from a colleague who went last year. Santa and Mrs. Claus were a bit wooden, but, hey, it's Christmas, and our daughter was thrilled that Santa knew so much about her. The live crib was OK (agree with other reviews - wrap up warm)... Steven at Molly Gallivan's is a very special person. He invited us for tea and enjoyable conversation. I compared prices on similar items at various stores and his prices were the best. He also has a good selection of items to choose from. It's important to view the presentation on Molly and be amazed at how she survived before touring... More

I think the parents should be given something... More

This is going to be a long review, but if you don't know all the elements of this place, I think you might miss some great experiences. Everyone going past Molly Gallivan's stops for the gorgeous views over the valley. A druid, carved from a tree that once stood in its place, looks toward the highest point of Barra-Bui where... More

A light hearted evenings entertainment by welcoming local musicians, singers, story tellers on times gone by, set in a quaint 200 year old cottage. A lovely piping hot meal with wine etc is served, followed by the above entertainment sitting/singing/dancing around an open fire. A great night was had by all, not only for visitors to Ireland but for anyone... More
