Our first visit to this park even though we are regular visitors to nearby Matlock Bath and Matlock Town. Got a Groupon offer so thought we`d give it a go. `Overall it does need some TLC in places and we have been to better farm parks but the kids seemed to enjoy it.` Although the park is relatively small I... My 16 month old son had a good time looking at the animals so that's a plus. I thought the entrance fee was a little expensive and Should be less off-peak I feel. The farm itself took about an hour to look round and that was with taking photographs and a go on the go-carts so it's quite a small... More

Went on a Groupon offer and we can only say we feel sorry for the people who paid full price as it is not worth it. The meercats were a letdown with no one around to feed or provide interesting info for them for the kids. The 'go karts' were 2 slow battery operated coin operated ones. There was the... More

Plenty of animals and bird for children to see. Generally the farm needs a lot of TLC to make it first class. Maintainance seems to be low level DIY. New horizontal fence beam pulled out of support post when I touched it. Cafe poor and expensive. Pie, chips and peas £6.99. Bring packed lunch. Will go again in the summer... More

Went in Feb and that might have been a mistake as it was bloody freezing, but saying that, most of the animals were out and about. Great for younger kids and a wide variety of different animals Cafe is a tad expensive I felt but the food and drink was nice. Lots of play areas for the kids too so... More

We went during somewhat of a snow storm and predictably everyone went into the cafe to escape the bad weather! We couldn't get into the cafe with tables full and queues. We enjoyed the different animals and there seeems lots of space to sit for picnics and play areas are available. Purchased tickets via groupon and my son (8 years... More

Stuck for somewhere to take the children and remembered passing by, entrance fee isn't exactly extortionate, but it's not peanuts either, it was extremely cold when we went, but it's winter, and the cafe seemed a little in disarray, I think we'd genuinely caught them on a bad day, but it could be better organised, it is also, I feel,... I have been to Matlock Farm Park quite a bit over the last few years and it has got better with each visit.. With more to see ect. On this visit we were pleased to see the meerkats and the wallabies, as well as the other standard farm animals. Most of the animals are friendly and we was lucky that... More

I have visited Matlock Farm Park quite a few times over the past few years and there always seems to be something new every time I visit. Its a great place for both kids and adults with a variety of animals to see and things to do. They've also recently added a cafe which is great, the food is good... More
