Visited with my three year old boy. Every one of the staff we encountered made a fuss of my little lad, and were polite and professional. There has obviously been investment here recently, with a brand new cafe and some new animal enclosures. Limited food menu, although most will find something that is to their liking. Prices reasonable and food... More

I visited here with my family on a weekday and our 2 year old thoroughly enjoyed the visit. The prices are quite cheap (compared to London) and children under 2 go free. The farm itself is large-ish and if you also want to have a bite to eat you could easily spend about 2 hours there. Along with the usual... More

A perfect place for children from babies through aged 10. Lovely setting and great play areas with separate provision according to age.

Visited with my wife and two children 6 and 8; we had a fantastic day out, the kids were amazed to be so close to a deer (stag) and feed him up close with the bag of feed they give you when you arrive. The kids were able to hold animals (chicks and rabbits) under supervision in the petting area,... More

We visited the park today with our 21 month old son. He loved the experience, seeing all of the animals close up and the play areas too. He was totally exhausted by the end and was straight asleep in the car. We ate at the cafe, the food was decent and reasonably priced. There was a mix up with my... More

I visited in August with my husband and six yr old son and spent a few hours here. This is a developing farm park but we had a lovely time. There are plenty of adventure playground areas between animal areas and even a bouncy castle near the cafe. You are given a bag of animal feed and this enables you... More

Visited with a friend and her 9 year old daughter who really enjoyed feeding the donkeys and ponies and looking at the goats. We weren't so keen on the small animals and birds but overall a good value place to visit which we all enjoyed.

Visited Matlock Farm Park with my husband and toddler. It was a lovely place with lots of friendly animals for us to feed. Play areas were good too.

The kids liked the bouncy castle the playgrounds and the animals, the food was nice and a good choice,an outdoor wooden play ground was being built when we went and looks like it should be great and improvements seem to be going on all over luckily. My main issue is the cleanliness of the indoor animals shed and the animals themselves,this... More

Thank you for this constructive review. You must have visited us around June when we were having the new Tots Area built. Since then we have considerably expanded the park and built several new animal shelters. The small animal barn is tired and it's on the list to renovate next year and hopefully if we can afford it, we will... More
