I visited here in July with my parents and my Mum's cousins. The cafe is lovely, however the staff aren't very cheery, and the cups of tea are very milky, but other than that it's good. There's a lovely view from the cafe, and a great play area complete with a paddling pool. Ideal for all ages!

Situated in the centre of Matlock, this an absolute gem of a park. Plenty of open space and boasting a great choice of activities....boating lake, putting green, paddling pool and much more. the café in the park was very very busy on a midweek day...testament to its quality no doubt. People of all ages were enjoying the numerous facilities. There... More

A fabulous park for everyone, a stone's throw from the shops and pretty cafes, (The Cosy Cup at the rear of Bow Boutique particularly recommended). There is a bandstand where bands do actually play! and motorboats on the lake, a little ride on train 'Little David' which is ok to ride if you are 2 or 92!! I used to... More

We often come here for a picnic in the warmer months, and is ideal for younger children (10 or younger) to have a run around and play. There is a skateboard ramp for older children, but otherwise, more aimed at younger age group. Play area has a secure fence and toilets on site, which is very handy. Splash pad area... More

This park has a lot of offer for children - park, paddling pool, boating lake, skate park, train etc. However the toilet facilities are absolutely disgusting and smell of urine and quite honestly I nearly cringed seeing some children going in there with bare feet. Not good for locals or visitors to Derbyshire - they need to be improved. I... More

Lovely place to visit. Park for children to play in with a water area that is perfect for toddlers to splash about in on a sunny day. Nice well kept gardens and very clean. Boat trips and lots of ducks to see. Lots of space to lay a blanket and down and have a picnic. Shops nearby and a little... More

Local market on a Wednesday. Occasional Saturday markets. Kids water park and play area with paddling pool. Water boats to ride round a duck pond as well as a small ride on train. Lots of open grass to kick a ball round. Designated alcohol free area so shouldn't have idiots about.

There are lot's event's that take place in this Park, there is an open farmer's market on a Wednesday, December there is a Victorian Market usually the first week in the month the park is well maintained and the food in the cafe is good and not too badly priced .also there is a good playground for children.
