This is park that has everything for a free playfully time with the family. You do have to pay for the boats on the small lake which is a lovely thing to do with young children. I walk through it regularly and really appreciate the planting of the flower beds and roses not forgetting the café where you can relax... More

first visit loved it the band stand in its splendour, the blooms flower beds, the vivid iris,s and blossoms, the lovely café on the side like a little log cabin, the ducks nestled having a snooze in the rim of the lake, seating around to watch the ducks or spend a romantic date, paddling pool, the train, just loved it,... Day out with our granddaughter, the park is lovely for children and it beautifully looked after. We played in the play area, paddled in the paddling pool, fed the ducks and rode on the little train. Will defiantly visit again, a great free day out.

The park gardens are next to the riverside promenade and the whole experience is peaceful and calming and a must see in Matlock. The flowers in bloom were stunning yellows, reds and purples and whites with more beds being prepared. Just a really place to see and relax in.

Visited today with grandson age 3. Rode on the 'Little David' train, and the 'speed' boats. Used the play park, had an ice cream, walked around the park. Lovely sunny morning- great family time enjoyed by all.

Close to the centre of Matlock this is a lovely park to wander around and on a Wednesday there is a small market to browse.

This park is well kept, neat and tidy and always busy. There is the water play area and play equipment for little ones, the mini train to ride on at weekends in the summer, the boating lake complete with ducklings in spring. For older children there is a table tennis table, tennis courts and skateboard park. During the summer a... More
