We very much enjoyed our trip to Chatsworth. The farm, gardens and house were beautiful. It's a great place to explore - and you definitely need a whole day to see everything.

We initially wanted to see Chatsworth because of Jane Austen's 'Price and Prejudice' and were sadly let down, no balcony to take pictures from where Elizabeth came across Mr Darcy and we couldn't find the Lake Mr Darcy took a dip in to cool off from his long and hard ride back from London :o( However from an historical point... I'm a big Jane Austen fan and originally discovered Chatsworth House from its being featured in both Pride and Prejudice films and The Duchess. Unfortunately, this site is PACKED with tourists. I got a bus to Baslow and then walked through Chatsworth Park (which is beautiful and free to the public) to get to the house right when it opened,... More

There little to add to the many reviews both here and elsewhere - it be well worth a visit - the house, the gardens / park and the old stable block. The... More

We had an incredible day at Chatsworth, even though it was rather expensive. The grounds and house were stunning, and the afternoon tea was lovely, although again, very expensive. I would certainly visit again though if I was in the area.

We LOVED the grounds which were covered in daffodils at the time of visiting. Beautifully kept gardens and a real credit to the gardening team. The house was fascinating and FULL of artifacts. If you have an opportunity to see the front of the house which faces west in the late afternoon when the sun is going down it is... More
