A bit expensive but the decoration during Christmas time was magnificent. The theme this year was about Narnia. My daughter also enjoyed the small farm and the playground.

Visiting Chatsworth on an August bank holiday in the rain was a wise decision especially when we discovered the pianist! I loved the beauty of the house, the loveliness of the gardens, the cuteness of the newborn piggies in the farm, the fun of the adventure playground, the tasty meals in the restaurant and the friendly, helpful staff but what... Yet to see a house that compares with chatsworth. The guided talk.through the rooms brought it to life. Bit pricy though, but an absolute must see if you are here on a break. The gardens were lovely also :-)

We were visiting with 2 young boys so decided the gardens and certainly the house weren't for us. Instead were planning on walking around the parkland which was free. We were really disappointed that there were no maps available of the parkland and no suggested walks. We expected to have found some trails marked out, eg with colour coded arrows.... More

A truly truly fantastic place to visit, although the house is pure stately splendour it has a very comfortable homely feel. The works of art are amazing and the gardens enviable. Combine all of that with the magnificent park, shops and restaurants and your on to a winner every time. Very very enjoyable.

A stunning house, in a stunning location with stunning gardens! What a fantastic place - one of the best days out we have had for a long time. We arrived at lunch time and wished we had got there earlier - there is tons to see! We didn't have time to go in the house (shame) but the gardens kept... More

Visited Chatsworth with family and friends this weekend, I have to say I have always been skeptical because it seemed so expensive, but as my friend had managed to get some discounted tickets from a hotel she was staying at, i thought I might as well bite the bullet and I have to say I really enjoyed it. The gardens... More

Absolutely beautiful and very informative day out. We arrived for opening time, and by the time we left we hadn't done / seen everything. It was very busy, and you need to be prepared to spend money but worth it. Not sure it would have been as enjoyable if the weather had been less kind.

I visited Chatsworth House with my partner, my Mum and her partner, and we had a fantastic time. We booked online in advance, and got free parking as a result. We arrived around 12 noon, and spent until around 5pm at the property. The house is well worth a visit. You can wonder around at your leisure and take photos... More
