We have just returned from a wonderful weekend with my Goddaughter and her family. We were able to see lots of other family members too. We were taken to Chatsworth House and had a great day. It is superb and well worth a visit. I did feel that the many VERY modern artefacts did NOT feel right in such a... More

Had a fantastic day out here a few months back on a lovely late August weekend. Bought tickets on line beforehand and got there around 10.15 am. It was very busy buy as the property is so large it was hardly a problem. We spent around 2-3 hours walking around the grounds which were spectacular and sculptures were everywhere adding... More

Can entirely see why Jane Austen had Chastworth in mind as her inspiration for Pemberley - it's very, very beautiful... Highly recommended if you enjoy stately homes, pretty gardens and generally being in awe of something gorgeous.

I love this place. You can pay £3 to park all day and simply walk in the grounds have a picnic and enjoy the views, or you can pay much more and explore all the house and gardens, the choice is yours. For young families you can't beat the farm park and adventure playground. My 4 year old and I... More

We arrived at about 12:30 and although there were many cars in the carpark a space was easy to find. We reached the ticket office after a short walk and needed to decide which ticket package to purchase. We took the Discovery package and added to that the guided tour and added again the visit to the Theatre. The guided... More

Returned to visit Chatsworth, my last visit being some 30 years ago!! I saw on the local news that there was a sculpture exhibition in the Gardens so decided to take a trip there. We paid the same entrance fee that we would have done if the sculptures hadn't been there, which represented very good value. We spent several hours... More

On the day I arrived it was blistering sunshine, loads of spaces to park and I also had a 2 for 1 voucher which was great as it is pricy. However when we started walking around the grounds I noticed how badly maintained the gardens are, terrible in fact, I was very shocked. If the gardens where full of flowers,... More

Simply stunning house and gardens. The first views of it as you drive over the bridge are breathtaking. Knowledgable, helpful staff everywhere.. Audio tour worth additional cost for clear explanations. Go when it opens at 11 to enjoy the full day. Relax by the water on the grass to take in wonderful views and splendour of it all. Book tour...
