Visited the Toad of Toad Hall Christmas exhibits with friends. What a wonderful way to decorate this historic house. Quite expensive entry but such fun. We also went into the Chatsworth shops and stabled restaurant The goods for sale including a vast array of Christmas decorations and seasonal food completed a fabulous day out.

Ever since watching 'The Duchess' I have been wanting to visit Chatsworth. I had booked online prior to the visit and even though we were visiting in November, the house was busy. It is annoying to pre buy a ticket with a pre set time and have to wait in a long line, while people who just turn up are... More

Nice xmas market but dont go at weekends as silly busy. Go mid week and early to browse at leisure. Good mix of stands from branded trades to artisan handcrafted.

It was a lovely summers day in the gardens the soft wind whistled through my long greasy hair as I adored the multiple statues and sculptures which I found quite pleasing and ergonomic. I crashed a lift from the golf car rally driver and he was a bloody legend wragging it around the corners. Just lovely though would highly recommend.

Having grown up near the Peak District I have been a regular visitor to Chatsworth and have seen it evolve into a business which is all about the money! For the duration of the " Christmas markets" (there was a distinct lack of christmas in my opinion) the car parking fee has been increased to £5 per car ( £10... More

Only visited the Christmas Market but was very disappointed with the offering this year. The market is very cramped and with lots of visitors it was difficult to easily view the stalls. The area the market is located in could be made a bit bigger to accommodate the number of visitors. A lot of stalls were selling the same products,... More

We visited Chatsworth this weekend and armed with our time slot visited the house. The house was changed into the Wind In The Willows Toad Hall. The colourful displays and the Christmas decorations were magic and throughout the house as were the historic house contents that we also came to see. Badger was someone playing the part and he most... More

Every time we visit the Peak District we call in at Chatsworth house, garden centre, or the farm shop because we really enjoy the area. We decided on a whim to have a weekend away and visit the house for Christmas, it was nice but not worth £10 to park and £52, for less than an hour in the house.

We had a walk in the deer park before we went to the house. This place is so popular! A Monday in November seemed like a good day for a quiet visit. Wrong!! The Xmas market was packed and it took a long time to get lunch/coffee, although the venue is clearly used to having huge crowds because the infrastructure... More

A lovely house, with so many interesting facets, each of the four floors revealing a multitude of fascinating facts and features. Sadly, the weather prohibited a trip round the grounds, but they looked beautiful.
