Chatsworth House is a stunning stately home. The gardens are fabulous needing a good 2-3 hours to do them justice. We visited on a hot day and were very grateful for the drinks kiosks that were dotted about the grounds. The only downside was that there were few shaded areas to sit and escape the heat. The house is fascinating... More

Drove up to Chatsworth - scenery is breathtaking! Say the house on sunlight - quite stunning. Also went to their farm shop - lots of lovely goodies and reasonably priced. Well worth a visit.

we spent much of one day visiting the house ( busy but really interesting and beautiful ) and the most wonderful garden ( one could spend all day and much more just wandering around viewing the different gardens and features ) - it was simply one of the best and most fascinating country houses /estates we have ever been to... The whole experience has been incredible. That I came back for a second time and even got engaged at Chatsworth house which even makes it more special to me. We were welcomed and properly informed about the activities of the day. The hostesses and workers are always helpful, seemed to be happy working there, and this gives a great image... More

I visited 22/07/2014 with my partner and her parents, we did a tour of the House. My partners father struggles walking long distance so the staff provided a wheel chair which was very much appreciated. The staff could not do enough for you they are a credit to the establishment. The tour was very good and would recommend, the gardens... More

This was my favorite "old house" visit during our UK trip. When we arrived, we immediately picked up a reservation card for the buggy (actually a golf cart) tour of the garden. We did this first and I highly recommend this as a strategy. We had a very knowledgeable guide who told us not only about the garden but also... More

We went with a 2 & 6 yr old just to the farmyard section and it was great. The kids loved the animals especially the piglets and the playground in there is amazing so much to play on and really well thought out to get the kids thinking. As there is water, sand, trampolines, climbing and diggers. We spent most... More

Chatsworth House and Gardens - home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire - is a wonderful stately home. A very grand house with beautiful gardens, restaurants, coffee shops, gift shops etc. We had a great day out there recently while on holiday in the area, particularly enjoyed the buggy ride round the gardens, and lunch of course!

Always wanted to visit chatsworth, as I love reading about the mitford family, and of course Deborah Mitford became the duchess of Devonshire, and help save this magnificent estate after the war, I was not disappointed, the house was unbelievably opulent full of national treasures, truly breathtaking, there was always a guide to answer your questions, always information in every...
