The Easter egg hunt over the Bank Holiday is becoming to be a regular annual family outing for us. It has something for the whole family. The grandchildren love it. The grounds are huge, affording lovely walks in the extensive grounds; a picnic by the car and then a visit to the farm - this is a must. This year... More

Nothing can detract from the magnificence of the house and grounds, stunning views and great interiors, but one needs something to eat at some point, we opted for lunch - I was transported back to school dinners, and not in a good way. A great shame that such a house should allow such ordinary/poor food to be served in its... More

We met friends who live locally fro a day out. After having coffee in the stables restaurant we walked around the house. It is certainly a house not to be missed with grand rooms, interesting furniture and, at the time we visited an exhibition of contemporary chairs which visitors were encouraged to sit on. After visiting the house we returned... More

Been here a few times over the years and have always had a great time, from a Christmas market to the farm yard for the kids, not to mention the beautiful grounds for walking the dog. If you find yourself in the area, this should definitely be on your list of things to do.

I visited Chatsworth yesterday with my dad, I am 18 and thorough enjoy anything to do with history. The views are absolutely beautiful, huge well kept landscapes with a stunning house at the centre. All the staff/volunteers were very friendly, smiley and had good knowledge on the entire history of Chatsworth. I had a lemon merigue pie after a lovely... More

We enjoyed a lovely day here the gardens are marvellous, although we were a bit disappointed that the Cascade wasn't working. Definitely worth exploring all of the gardens as there are many hidden gems. The house interiors are really interesting too.

Chatsworth is a great Manor House for the history buff, the Jane Austen fanatic, or families and persons who enjoy a day out in the country. The gardens are massive and it is not only kid friendly but also openly welcomes pets. We toured the home which is an interesting mix of old artwork and new. We also had tea... More

We come to Chatsworth a couple times a year for different events today is we are just visiting the farm with our 2yr old daughter. Great day out for the family of all ages. I would suggest checking on line for activities in the farmyard.

Visited Chatsworth on a beautiful Spring day. The setting in the Derbyshire countryside is stunning. Exploring the gardens is a real treat and the maze is not to be missed, great fun. We had lunch in the self service restaurant in The Stables, the choice, quality and quantity were excellent. We didn't find the interior of the house as good.... More
