You can spend all day here on a dry day. The House is spectacular as are the gardens and general surroundings. Afternoon tea was great and relaxing, not stuffy and old fashioned. The farm shop is full of the most beautiful produce

So much to see. House is packed with all manner of art, had to be selective with viewing but plenty of variety. Gardens are beautiful, so many interesting areas - good to compare with Alnwick castle. Grounds extensive allowing a really good walk up to Hunting Tower, Swiss Cottage and lakes. Had been wanting to visit for years and really... More

Very nice and historical place. Following seeing the house, we went for a long walk / picnic. You can spend all day there!

We have lunched at Chatsworth Garden Centre many times and always enjoyed the meals. We usually have the 'roast' and the seasonal vegetables. The restaurant is wheelchair friendly, the staff are helpful, and there is a disabled toilet and I have always found somewhere to park. I recommend the restaurant.

Visited recently with a group. We also had the added attraction of Chatsworth County Fair, all of which meant a really good day out. We spent the morning at the Fair and visited the gardens and house after lunch. There are acres of garden to see with something different around every corner or behind every hedge. The house is full... More

The gardens are spectacular, had a wonderful time just strolling around. The house (could never imagine living somewhere that big - the cleaning!!) was very majestic, fantastic... More

I have seen my fair share of stately homes but Chatsworth was inspiring and magnificent in all senses of the words. It really is a place which will cause you to have a loss for words. I had seen many images of Chatsworth but nothing compares to seeing its wonder in person and it really is beautiful driving through the... More
