Very attractive building in nice grounds with peacocks wandering freely. Corsham Court is situated right in Corsham itself, so as I was staying in Corsham High Street it meant I could just stroll here and be greeted by this really impressive looking building. It was well worth a visit with a really good art collection and some lovely furniture. A... More

I wanted to take for a day out for my mum and cousin's wife. We went to Corsham Court since it was a sunny and beautiful day. We decided to buy ticket for only garden, hoping it to be a nice and lovely flower. But to our surprise, we finished walking in 20 mins. There was not any garden. We... More

The gardens at Corsham Court have been open to the public since the Second World War. We employ four gardeners, three of whom work full-time. The gardens consist of areas of formal borders, a walled garden, distinct shrubberies, the Grade I listed Georgian Bath House and mature specimen trees (over 30 species), including the oriental plane, which is registered as... The house looks imposing from the drive. We hadn't really realised it was a picture gallery, so the rooms were kept dark so as to preserve the paintings, which gave the house a rather gloomy atmosphere. We would like to have know a little more about the building itself. We found the gardens more appealing, but unfortunately the rain came... More

The day we visited Corsham Court it was rainy. We really enjoyed our visit and down the street in the village they were filming Poldarc. The only downfall is the village street did not have any restaurants open between 2-5pm. The Corsham Court is a beautiful home still occupied by the Methuen family. They have a superb art collection that... More

We came across this house quite by surprise when going to look at the church. We'll worth a visit and the grounds are good to wander around.

Corsham Court is a lovely stately home set in gorgeous gardens. This can be said however of many places in England. The thing that distinguishes Corsham from other Stately homes are the magnificant paintings collected by the owners during the last 300 years, the earliest of which dates back to the 14th Century. The staff are very knowledgable and helpful... More

On our trip to England from Switzerland we have been enjoying all the National trust and beautiful estate houses that this beautiful country has to offer. We were in Bath and decided to venture over to Corsham Court. On walking up the drive it is very impressive. We wondered in the front door and was greeted by a very off-ish... More

We found this house quite by accident and are so glad we did. Superb paintings and knowledgable guides in every room made our visit very enjoyable. We also did the gardens which were a great example of a period garden with the old bath house.

We paid our £5 and went into the gardens only. More of an arboretum than we were expecting. We walked through and ended up in the huge country park and enjoyed watching the new born lambs frolicking as we strolled through. Lovely but no need to pay for the gardens - just as well go straight into the park.

This historic house has beautiful gardens and a superb collection of paintings. Open during the summer months, it is well worth a visit.
