Although Dunluce Castle is quite well known, it gets left behind a little by the other world-class attractions on the wonderful Causeway Coast. I recommend you make it part of your itinerary though - it's steeped in history, much of which you can really feel on your visit and, if you're lucky with the weather, you'll be rewarded with a... The castle is perched on an outcrop of jagged coast and accessed from the visitors centre across an enclosed wooden bridge. You can take a digital guided tour secured by a fully refundable deposit to depart the history of Dunluce as you walk around. There is a treasure hunt version for kids on it also. The views from this place... More

We had a lot of fun exploring the ruins of Dunluce Castle. It is certainly worth the entrance price. Once inside, you are even allowed to reach the second floor of a couple of the old towers. They really make it possible for you to pretend that you have gone back in time as you are completely surrounded by the... More

We were exploring the Causeway Costal Route and didn't plan to visit the castle. When we stumbled upon it it had already closed. However we still enjoyed the walk around the area and loved the scenary created by the unique position of the castle by the sea.

Absolutely stunning and fascinating. High society living on a cliff on the northern coast of Ireland in the 16th Century. Well worth a visit

We intended to pop in quickly and have a look at the ruins, expecting a tumbledown old pile of rocks - but there is so much more to see here. It is definitely worth the entrance fee! The castle is perched on the top of the cliffs overlooking waves crashing onto the rocks below. They would certainly have been protected... More

There are lots of castles across Ireland, but Dunluce has wonderful history included. The photo opportunities are also amazing!

This was a beautiful step back in time - slightly pricey at £5 pp but it was worth it for us, perhaps because my husband is an archaeologist! It was strikingly beautiful and very interesting.
