I think it is more nostalgia than anything else, but everybody has to go at some stage in the summer just to go on the same rides they probably went on when they were 7 or 8 years old. My kids can't wait for their visit but then are happy not to go again. The ice-cream is still good although... More

Took the three grandchildren to barrys one afternoon they had a great time and so did I ,was surprised to find that it had not changed a lot since I took my children many years ago. This attraction is different from some of the new one you find in other parts of the Uk and Ireland. It keeps it old traditional... More

Had a real fun day here with my family. It is great for old and young people. The machines give out tickets to receive a free prize which is a good incentive. The ghost train is a laugh. The rides are suitable for all ages, smaller rides for the youngest and bigger one's for older people. It's a good place for... More

Very disappointed. Portrush is a typical seaside town, it relies on good weather and although I would not call the second weekend in September out of season everything appeared to be closed or closing. Very different from other seaside towns in the north of Ireland.

I went to portrush as a family day out, and a afternoon in Barrys Amusement centre, is always on the cards, its just pure family fun, it meets all ages and types of people. Great access for buggys and wheelchairs. Prices meet all budgets.

Barry's is a tradition. I went here as a child and my children now love to go. It smells of candy floss the minute you walk through the door and is noisy with loud music and slot machines but there is enough of a selection of rides to suit most family groups. The cost of the rides has increased over... More

We went to watch the Barry's Big Thank You firework display on airshow Saturday - it was the best show i've seen in NI for years - fair play to Barry's for supporting it. (Did you see them Daph?)

No visit to Portrush is complete without a visit to Barry's!! The kids love the cyclone and the outdoor rides!! I just enjoy the 2p machines!! Tokens are used for the rides just try and work out how many you will need.

When I found out that this was the biggest amusements in Ireland I was excited to visit and enjoy some of the rides, however the rides were good but you just need to take your whole bank account with you. You had to keep buying tokens and they didn't offer a wrist band (you pay £14 and can go on... More
