My husband and I spent our first holiday on Ireland staying at port rush as our base and travelling to various golf courses. We played royal port rush on a lovely sunny day and really enjoyed the hospitality at the club as well as playing on such a prestigious golf course. I lost six balls, found two! Hubby is a... More

Got to see the plans for the British Open as they are preparing to host it. The staff in the pro shop and the caddies were so experienced, professional and very welcoming. Our American visitors with us loved the caddies and said they never experienced hospitality like it. The views on the course are out of this world and the... More

We ended our 8 course trip here at Royal Portrush. We were greeted as we expected the bus and directed to the club house. We had requested caddies and the club wasn't sure we could get any but they said they would try to get at least 1 for caddie per group. I would have reviewed this course a 5... More

Absolutely loved the course - simply breathtaking. Very fair but watch out for Big Nellie on 17 - biggest bunker I have ever seen. Caddies were wonderful and were extremely funny. My caddie "Chris" was a joy - I hope he gets the call for the Women's British Open later this month! Clubhouse facilities are okay - jammed and unorganized... More

Great track with a driving range which is very unusual in the UK or Ireland. For me not quite as good as Royal County Down but only a minor step down. Course conditioning was excellent. Pro shop has a lot to be desired.

A must if you consider yourself a golfer. Port Rush is right up there in the top five in Ireland. The town also makes for a very entertaining trip

The course was fantastic, what a great layout and beautiful vistas from practically every hole. We hired a forecaddie which was a great experience, Amon (not sure I spelled that right...) greeted us with a warm welcome, and even as the only female in the group I was never made to feel uncomfortable, quite the contrary. He really added to... More

Played here with my daughter and had a wonderful time. Course is excellent. Facilities were excellent. You do have to walk a bit to get to the driving range so arrive a little earlier than you might think. Our caddies were great and very knowledgeable. Wonderful place to play. Hope I can make it back to play it again.

This is a fantastic golf course. Great layout and staff was extremely friendly. They are preparing to host the British Open so it was fun to see the plans on a board in the clubhouse. They also have Darren Clarke's Claret jug on display in the case which you don't see every day when you play golf.
