I know people rave.... but it is very much a modern business now and some of the charm is lost...even in the tour. if you love whiskey..go, otherwise you might be a tad dissappointed.

Nice laid-back walk through of the production, aging and bottling facilities. If you care about whiskey, this is a big deal, otherwise it's a chance to see a bunch of food grade apparatus and a big warehouse full of aging casks. Hint: The distillery is in actual active production and bottling Mondays through Fridays, the tours on the weekends are... More

Bushmills Distillery is an active distillery. A person can see from the tour the whiskey being made and bottled. The tour ends where the tour offers a free sample of the 1608 or the 12-year whiskey. It is also the oldest licensed distillery in the world.

Thoroughly enjoyed our mid morning tour. It was good to discover how Irish whisky is made differently from Scotch. Unfortunately one of visitors commandeered the guide at times....guides should be firm and address the questions to all. It was good to have a choice of whiskies to taste afterwards. I think I am a convert to Irish whisky!!!! Be sure... More

As a family of five with three young children aged 6, 8 and 10, we thoroughly enjoyed our trip to the Bushmills distillery. Myself and 2 of the children went on the tour around the distillery in which was very informative and the kids even enjoyed understanding how whisky was made. The staff were extremely helpful and informative and the... More

We enjoyed the tour of the Distillery, but would not recommend going on the last tour of the day (it was either 4 or 4:30PM). We were rushed along by our guide and didn't have time to really watch the process. We were given our free whisky though and thoroughly enjoyed it.

The Distillery is just a few minutes walk from the center of town in Bushmills and worth the "trek". The guide we had was very knowledgeable and a lot of interesting info is shared. At the end of the tour, you do get to sample some of their wares: I without a doubt recommend the 12 year. There is a... More

We found it extremely interesting to visit a working distillery where we could see the process of making whisky from start to finish, including tasting the finished product. The tour guide was very informative.
