Hadn't been to the market for years. This was awful. It's not a market anymore. Where have all the traders gone?? I can't believe how small it is.

This is a great indoor market. Nestling in the middle of modern stores, it really does have a good mix of goods and even services (you can get the IT guy to fix your smart phone or laptop!) It all feels permanent so there's the reassurance that you'll see the same people and find the same products, every time you... More

I come to the Carmarthen indoor market every year when I come to Wales on holiday. I absolutely love it!!!! Spend way too much in it but it's well worth it. The pet store at the far end of the building is great to grab a bargain from.

Ideal for those self-catering or want to look for locally made or farmed food. Caws Cenarth stall with all cheeses suitable for vegetarians also sells a variety of chilli sauces - try before you buy and gins. The Popty Llansteffan stall has a large variety of ready meals , pies , cakes and bread. Take home some Carmarthen Ham. Unfortunately... More

Despite living near Haverfordwest - the finest example of the direst town planning in Wales that has killed this once lovely county town, we will travel the extra 45 minutes each way to shop in Carmarthen, and the market is always a port of call. Wonderful cymraeg/dutch cheeses from Caws Teifi, the freshest of veg, a watch battery changed for... More

Visited with my wife and daughter and was very disappointed. Building is lovely but the market itself is very poor, hardly any fresh produce apart from one poor fruit and veg stall and a quite good butchers. Few nice stalls selling welsh mementos and an ok sweet shop. Compared to other markets of similar size such as Abergevanny this is... More

I have watched Carmarthen evolve since my childhood and am impressed with the way in which the diversity of produce continues to thrive. Siop y Pentan is always on my visit list for good quality gifts and great value Welsh books.
