Well worth a visit. This castle is in such great condition considering it is around 800 years old. You get a real sense of what it was like to live in medeaval times. Great views from the castle walls. Small gift shop selling predictable goods.

I know that Wales is famous for its castles, but this one is definitely one of the best. A photographers delight with plenty of shots open to the imagination. Dont miss it otherwise you will regret it!

Great day out today with the family at Kidwelly castle. Great bit of history here with fantastic views. The structure and exposed foundation layout gives you a great insight to castle life. Definitely the best castle in Carmarthenshire.

The best £4 per person I have spent in a long time. The gatehouse is an historical gem, the rest of the castle is also beautifully cared for. Get a guide book for £4 and follow the route around the castle from the book. A must see for any history fans.

This might not be the biggest castle but there is plenty to see and explore. Part of the outer walls remain accessible to walk round with views over the town to the river estuary. There are also a couple of towers for children to explore. There is a small car park close to the castle with a short walk into... More

Really enjoyed Kidwelly Castle, somewhere to visit when the sun is shining though. It was dilapidated enough to give it the ruined and historic feeling but in tact enough that you could still imagine what is must have been like in its full glory. There are walls to climb on and towers to ascend. Fantastic view from the top too.... More

This is a proper castle, really interesting and would keep children occupied for over an hour. There's a house opposite for ceramic antiques lovers and a great cafe down the road, all within walking distance of the beach.

Nice to see inside the castle, fun event on a sunny day, great for photos. There is a charge to visit, think it was £4 for adults. They sometimes have open days - which is when the castle is free to enter so its well worth looking up on the internet to see when these are if a few of... More

Great castle which is fairly well preserved. Lots of information available and the castle will appeal to both adults and children. You can walk the castle walls and go in the tower and dungeons and part of the moat. The entrance charges are reasonable and well worth it.
