Went on the search for a dragon and found one. Lots of spiral stone staircases to climb and walkways. Rooms to discover and dungeons. I really enjoyed walking around the castle and so did my 3 year old granddaughter. Nice little gift shop with friendly helpful staff.

What a great place to visit! Staff were friendly and helpful and £12 for a family entrance ticket (and free parking on site) made it reasonably priced too. The castle itself is great to explore and the surrounding views are stunning. They made it more fun still by putting on activities for the children - to play detective and search... More

I was expecting much but in the end was disappointed. The normal things you find at a Welsh castle, but not much in the way of history or context to make it relevant. Too many similar castle rooms with nothing in them. Also, a number of things (2 large cardboard models of cows, for example) for which there was no... More

Fab for a day out, great to have a walk around. good for photos, relatively quiet when I visited. Have to pay to visit, unless you look on "whats on in carmarthenshire" website: sometimes there are free entry days to castles/gardens locally on there...

Towers to climb, walls to explore, what's not to like for overgrown boys? Another castle with a quest for children to complete, so it gets the thumbs up from us.

We came here with a five year old and two year old and tgey loved it. It was, however, a sunny day, so we could wander around and stay dry. The only problem is that some of the guard rails are a bit wide so you have to keep a hold of little ones. A great place to visit.

Enjoyed this castle, lots of information signs and things to look at. Easy to imagine it before it was ruined. Only downside was the lack of parking.

We visited with our Grandchildren aged 7 and 5. Highlight for them was the play George and Dragon plus the purchase of wooden swords. Excellent value for money and a day of memories .

It is imposing, inspiring, memorable. it is everything a castle should be, massive towers to climb up, battlements to day dream on, loaded with history and just be in awe as to the men who built it. go go go if your in the area
