We went here with our 1 year old. Castle is pram friendly we only had to get out when we climber some stairs. Lots to do see and read. Great price to get in at only £4.00! We spent a few hours here and took a picnic. The views are stunning from the top of the castle. There's also a... More

My first visit to Kidwelly Castle won't be my last! It was very interesting and the views of surrounding countryside from the parapets are breath taking. That castle itself is amazingly intact. Would definitely recommend to anyone and a great place to visit with kids.

There is lots of the castle still standing that you can walk around, is very interesting. We ended up buying the guide book because with out it there isnt enough signs up to tell you whats what cheap to enter and the parking is free. There are lots of steep stairs so not really suitable for the elderly or very... More

The view from the castle is amazing. It was good day out with the kids and the entrance is not expensive

A very enjoyable Sunday afternoon activity. Our 2 year old loved exploring and we easily navigated most of the site with a pushchair. However, as the majority of the castle is open to the elements, I imagine it isn't the best choice on a rainy day!

Came here to kill a few hours with the family. And what we found great is that we could walk around, on top and below the castle. Fantastic.

Beautifully maintained castle, ramparts & tower were accessible, good views, peaceful location. Much larger than we realised. Good shop, with reasonably priced gifts & helpful staff. Great for children to explore & run around.

A proper castle with hiding places moats, turrets dungeons and secret rooms. The Castle has views over kidwelly and loads of activities throughout the summer

We really enjoyed a couple of hours here exploring all the towers and "prisons". Easy to park and access. Beware, this is an historic building so the stairs are very steep and narrow but we thought this made it more fun.

As English Heritage members we got into this CADW site free. I have been here many times but it never fails to delight. A well preserved castle in a lovely spot on the Gwendraeth.
