Quite and interesting castle to look around and very well preserved. However there were no placards to give more information about it. My experience would have been greatly improved if there had been more handrails around the site, particularly at the steps shown in pictures 31-35 - the existing rail does not extend to the bottom of the steps, and... Wow, what a surprise, we didn't know of this castle. Quite a lot to see, even from a wheelchair. Facilities are good but not over commercialised. What an area for castles and Welsh history. We had only a two day break but will go back to see more.

Visited here on a Castle day out. Its a good one, lots to see and explore and great views from the walls. Can easily loose kids and sit and relax inside.

Only ended up here to pass an afternoon, but was glad we did. Interesting and well maintained ruins of Kidwelly castle.

Very helpful and lovely staff. A pleasant afternoon. The visit was over very quickly as there is not much to see or read about.

Visited as a family of four over the Easter holiday. We were lucky and had a space in the small car park (free). We are Cadw members so got in for free but charges are reasonable if you are paying. We had a lovely sunny dry day. Kidwelly Castle was much larger than I anticipated, a great find, we all... More

Having lived in Kidwelly for over 15 years, the castle had become something I was used to and would casually walk passed without a second glance. Yesterday (Easter Monday) the weather was so lovely I decided to take a little trip to the castle, and as soon as I stepped foot inside I was in awe. I fell in love... More

Visited on a glorious sunny day. Easy to find with good sign posting. We were lucky and found spaces in the castle car park (space for 8 cars only) Car parking here was free. Lovely little gift shop \ admissions. Extremely nice staff. Signed up for CADW membership - £10 off membership, free entry to castle and 10% off in... More

We spent 3hrs there today and had a great time. Lots of little rooms to visit and the view is breathtaking. The children had a great day and can't wait to visit again. The lady in reception this morning was so helpful and lovely with our children. Thank you.

From arriving at the castle we were impressed. The castle is in such good condition there is enough of the ruins to be able to imagine how life would have been. The lady in the shop told us tales of the castles history as well. We took the dog with us (he wasn't aloud above or below ground level but... More
