Great one hour trip, with a commentary provided by the comedian 'Dave Spikey'. Refreshments available and toilet facilities. The boat was spotlessly clean and the staff knowledgeable.

Just returned from a fabulous 70th birthday party for my sister-in-law aboard The Dalesman. The boat was clean and very comfortable and the care and attention from the cheerful staff was faultless. The trip was greatly enjoyed by young and old and the pies and mash were delicious. Thanks for a great day out.

Colin was most helpful when giving us the half an hour lesson! The boat was perfect! Very clean and had all the little things like tea and coffee. The scenery was... More

Sorry to say we were very disappointed with this trip, apart from the Dave Spikey commentary, which was fairly amusing in parts.I expected to see canal architecture and other items of interest, but there were none, apart from green fields it was extremely boring and I'm not normally easily bored.

Nothing is too much trouble and we all have a wonderful and memorable trip. We bring along our key board and sing the whole way there... More

On Sunday I took my granddaughter on the santa barge .I was most surprised how dismal the inside of the barge looked, some coloured lights and anorexic tinsel did little to relieve the gloom . There was nothing to look at outside and nothing to do inside but sit and wait to see santa. The atmosphere was very humid and... More
