We thought we'd try something different and I'm glad We did, a nice little chug on the canal. The kids loved watching skipton go by and it was priced very well. The only downside was buying the tickets, the manager/owner (not sure) must smoke 100 a day....or it felt like it, inside his little cabin/office...we smelt badly of cigarettes in... More

Small boat but nice day shared it with 6 other passengers one couple actually came from Grange which is across the bay from where we live. Dave Spikey commentary which we were given a choice of listening to or not but was quite enjoyable. Boat turned round outside our hotel window which was a bit like a mystery coach trip... More

As a pirate mad 5 year old, could anything be better?!!?!?! My son had been looking forward to our trip for weeks so I was hoping it wouldn't disappoint. It didn't, and in fact exceeded expectations. The safety breifly is very amusing, the Father Christmas has the BEST beard ever, andhe took so much time to talk to each child,... More

The guide was very friendly and chatted to us about the history surrounding this part of the canal and the outside of the castle. Well worth the £3 charge.

We wanted a boat trip, we wanted to enjoy the beautiful scenery the Leeds Liverpool has to offer but after enquiring in the ticket office as finding out that it was £8 for a one hour trip and the man was very rude and abrupt we decided not to go on the boat trip. Which was a real shame as... More

Loved the free biscuits and coffee/tea. The whole atmosphere was great, sunshine, staff were friendly and the commentry funny. It all added to the experience and passengers chatting to each other. What a chilling afternoon.

We went to Skipton on Thursday 5th September. It was a beautiful, sunny day. We went to book tickets for the hour long canal cruise. We were on the 1.10pm trip. When we boarded there were not many people on the canal boat, but a funny narration by Dave Spikey was enjoyed by all onboard. Well worth the price, we... More
