Our last stop before leaving the area was a very nice visit to their wine tasting room (no time to try the restaurant). The view from the area around the castle is great. They were willing to open another wine after one of that day's tasting wines was almost sold out. Small cost for each wine tasting - price goes... More

The Piedmont landscape is dotted witch castles, but this has the distinction of having an interesting museum related to the region's history, wine and truffle production. Also the castle it has a comparatively intact interior, where as most of the areas castles are crumbling. The tour includes is a an audio guide. After the tour we had a snack in... More

The castle on the top of the hill, with very nice panorama view and interesting museum. The vinotheca is also interesting, with fair prices. Worth of visit!!!

We had a wonderful experience here. We each had the tasting menu but asked the chef to serve different menu items so we can share and try many dishes. The dishes were carefully thought through with many elements and complex flavors. We had great wine and the service was superb. It was an older crowd but treating ourselves to a... More

This is a castle that is very proud of it's heritage, and has some very interesting ethnographic items on display. When else would you get to see a community wine press from 1704 that exerts 20 tons of pressure onto the grapes? The castle itself is very impressive also, with lots of information about white truffles, including how they are... More

This is a beautiful little village build around a fantastic castle with panoramic views of stunning scenery. To top it all off there is a fantastic little wine shop where you can taste and purchase the local produce at reasonable prices.

Grinzane Cavour is a small Piedmont hill town dominated y it's medieval castle. The castle sports 360 degree views of the countryside, as well as a small museum, the enoteca of the area commune, and a fine restaurant. The enoteca has a small tasting area, comprehensive descriptions of all the wines of the area, as well as hundred of bottles... More

The castle is very well kept and restored in a lovely and respectful way. The surroundings are one of the most beautifull we've seen in the area: although in the middle of a village, you get a 360° view over the entire countryside, filled with hills full of vineyards. Marvellous!! Inside, you can find a nice shop and there's an... More

We visited the small castle at the top of the town. It has a nice view and an interesting looking restaurant inside. Unfortunately it is closed Tuesday and Wednesday otherwise I would have tried it.
