Good hike to get the blood moving. Lots of spiders and spider webs make the hike less enjoyable and a nuisance. Views are limited but there were 3 spots to catch views of the ocean and gulch. Hike was not too muddy like previous reviews, but there were stretches of overgrown plants and canopies of spider webs with spiders evading... More

This is very beautiful and well maintained trail. Easily accessible and easy to hike. It is about 6 miles long one way but we didn't go all the way. Instead sitting lazy all day on the beach, get active: Take this hike.

If you like jungle walks this is your hike. The trail was mainly uphill starting from Flemming Beach. Along the trail you really feel like you are in a jungle. The trees surround you and plants go over your head. The trail had some points where you could see stunning views of the gorge and the water - we even... More

We got dropped off and headed for the trail. Decided to go to the ridge trail first and entered through the gate. Lots of jungle type forest, kind of neat, and then the mosquitos! Mud on the trail, and when we arrived at the watershed sign at the top, there wasn't much to see other than another ravine. Made it... More

We had an awful experience on this trail.. We couldn't believe that a Kapalua sponsored bus would drop you off at the trailhread and not provide any information about the condition of this trail. Parts of this trail were down right dangerous. Slippery mud on downhill portions . Over growth so you couldn't see the slippery mud.. Unless it hasn't... More

This was probably our favorite outing while on Maui. At the Kapalua Village Center a free shuttle will pick you up and transport you to the start of the hike with reservations. Not sure who provides and pays for the shuttle as well as maintenance of the hiking trails, but here I thank them. From the drop off spot it... More

Beautiful hike but so much of the trail is over grown so wear long pants this time of year. The trail after Pu'o Ka'eo lookout is missing so look at the map carefully. There is an overgrown trail that takes you to Mahana Ridge from Honolua Ridge.

Great hike with the up vs down ratio of about 1:6. Hike to top for about 1 mile then down for most of the remainder. Keeps any complaining to a minimum! Convenient bus ride to top of the property but be sure to make a reservation for free shuttle through resort (they did not tell us this was required when... More

Our family of four inexperienced hikers had a great time on this hike. Most of the trail was shaded so the heat wasn't unbearable even for our July visit. The views were great and I loved seeing new things the whole time we were out (including pineapple plants!). We were challenged but truly enjoyed our experience. We didn't cross paths... More
