I live in Hawai'i and we are very lucky to play the top public courses on all islands. There are also beautiful military courses (if you are retired or active duty military) and some private courses if you know someone). We are also able to volunteer for the pro and seniors' tour championships on Oahu, Maui, and the Big Island.... More

Great course, horrible experience... My family had been planning a trip to Maui for almost a year and playing at this course was going to be the highlight for my brother and I. Myself, my brother, father, and a guest, were set to tee off at 1PM. Very excited we went to the 1st tee at 1250 ready to go.... More

We had the best time golfing at the Plantation Course. It's really spectacular. We had a 2:10 tee time and finished at about 6:50 pm. It was amazing finishing the last hole as the sun began to set. My favorite dinner of the whole trip was at the Plantation Course restaurant, we had the best table for two to watch... More

First the good. This course is amazing. After watching the PGA tournament on TV it was a must play when we visited and we were NOT disappointed. Every hole was challenging and Bart, the ranger gave us some great tips to help make the round more enjoyable. The view of the ocean from some of the holes is just beyond... More

As the most expensive course in Maui by far, you would expect some sort of professionalism and practiced Golf etiquette. While playing the course, a 2 sum behind our 4 sum, who is behind two other 4 sums, decided to hit up on his. Not only did he miss hitting my father and I the first time by about 10-15... More

Don't come expecting to score well, come expecting to be blown away (literally and figuratively). There are a number of really tough holes, but 17 and 18 are the ones where the golfing gods give you a taste of what might be. Down hill and down wind be ready to hit the two longest drives you will ever hit. When... More

Incredible course. My wife joined me for 9 holes and we booked late so ended up with a later tee time. I am not a great golfer and lost a couple balls but the view of the ocean and the grass is very well maintained. The course was challenging for an old guy like myself but the views were great. I... Just finished up playing The Plantation Course and what a terrific course. The condition was excellent, the greens were smooth and fast the staff did a terrific job. Certainly a gem that should be added to your schedule if you are on Maui.

First the course. Great course with many challenging holes. Grain on greens makes putts tough to figure speed. Grain runs to the ocean. Local knowledge is a must. For instance; stay on the right side on 18. 16 looks easy as a sub 300 par four, but the false front extends 5-7 yards onto the green. Wide fairways but the... More
