Consistently ranked as the #1 golf course in Hawaii, playing The Plantation Course is sure to be on every golfer's bucket list. Designed by Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore, the course was designed on a grand scale in keeping with its location on the slopes of the West Maui Mountains and offers dramatic ocean views from virtually every hole. Its lengthy 7,411 yard par 73 layout challenges the pros but it's wide fairways and generous greens make it very playable for the average golfer. With dramatic elevation changes, this course offers plenty of downhill tee shots. You'll feel like one of the pros when - with the aid of the aggressive slope of the 18th fairway - you will enjoy hitting one of the longest drives of your life. The Plantation Course is the site of the PGA TOUR Hyundai Tournament of Champions each January featuring an elite field of previous year's PGA TOUR winners.

This had been a bucket list tick for me. I was in awe of this place right up until I teed off the first tee. I have watched the USPGA Hyundai Champion of Champions tournament on television and I got to stand on the first tee. This is a spectacular course, with excellent service and advice from the staff. It... More

A great course...and the views make it even better. Great service from the time you drop your bags until you pick them up after your round. Everyone there shares the great aloha spirit

On this trip we played 4 rounds at Plantation. The fairways and greens were in great condition, the pace of play was really good, and the course staff (whether in the pro shop or the cart guys or the beverage cart) were all friendly and helpful. We look forward to our next year's visit!

I have played here twice now. Once in 2011 and now in 2015. This place is immaculate! One of the best course you will ever play. The scenery is spectacular and the course conditions are perfect. It is worth the money to play here at least once in your lifetime!!!

We were staying in Kapalua and we are both avid golfers. We bought the Player's advantage card which gives you unlimited golf on any 3 days within a 7 day span. This was an excellent value. Even if you only play one round a day, it was still less money than the discounted Kapalua guest rate. Free access to the... More

Nice location, expansive to play there, but resto is nicely located with a clear view on Molokai island. The company I work for (Hyundai) host the PGA turnament, will have to go back:)

The course is 5 star but slow play ruined our round. For the cost of the round the Marshall needs to move folks along. We had to skip two holes to get the round in because of unbelievable slow play by folks who should of never be let on a golf course. It took us almost 5 1/2 hours with... More

Play this course with my current wife on our honeymoon. It is a absolutely stunning course, even with them saying that the course isn't in its best shape. Absolutely stunning views, challenging holes, and lots of wind, but overall it was a bucket-list golfing experience.

Expensive? Yes. But Kapalua Plantation is worthy every penny. Anyone who has watched as the PGA pros tackle Plantation during the annual season-opening Hyundai tournament will be amazed by the differences from TV viewing. The elevation changes are ridiculous ... the views of Lanai and (in season) breeching whales are incredible. Pay the green fee and get ready for 4.5... More

I played in late June 2015 with a 1:00 tee time (twilight rate of 195+45 for brand new Titleist club rental) and had my own cart along with another single and a couple in their carts. Turned out to be a pretty average or below group of golfers which was a relief for all of us and made for a... More
