Got a reservation in less than 24 hours, met up with 3 other strangers who were also on vacation. Played the course starting in the afternoon and finished 18 just as the light was disappearing (and it goes away fast). Greens and fairways were in great shape (fast) and the cart and rentals are top notch.

I read the previous reviews that complained about the staff at this course and I must say that we were a little apprehensive about our scheduled round of golf. I have to start with how well we were treated by the entire staff from the pro shop, cart folks, to the starter. At the turn, we even joked that we... More

This is just a great course. The view doesn't hurt either. It's expensive, and it's HARD, but it is the second best course I've every played (after Pebble Beach). I played three times on this trip, all in the morning. The staff was great, it wasn't too busy - never played in a foursome. Two twosomes and a threesome. Great... More

All of the reviews that rave about this place are true. Some complained of poor service but I had nothing but excellent, friendly and professional service. I played 3 rounds here during a nine-day stay. All were completed within 4 to 4 and a half hours. This course is not for occasional golfers who struggle to hit a high ball.... More

Have vacationed on Maul for the past 10 years, but had never played the Plantation course. It is the best thing I have ever done on the island. The staff was wonderful, the course in excellent shape and the views are just the best. It's a lot of money to play golf, but in my opinion, well worth it. I... More

I live in Hawai'i and we are very lucky to play the top public courses on all islands. There are also beautiful military courses (if you are retired or active duty military) and some private courses if you know someone). We are also able to volunteer for the pro and seniors' tour championships on Oahu, Maui, and the Big Island.... More

Great course, horrible experience... My family had been planning a trip to Maui for almost a year and playing at this course was going to be the highlight for my brother and I. Myself, my brother, father, and a guest, were set to tee off at 1PM. Very excited we went to the 1st tee at 1250 ready to go.... More

We had the best time golfing at the Plantation Course. It's really spectacular. We had a 2:10 tee time and finished at about 6:50 pm. It was amazing finishing the last hole as the sun began to set. My favorite dinner of the whole trip was at the Plantation Course restaurant, we had the best table for two to watch... More

First the good. This course is amazing. After watching the PGA tournament on TV it was a must play when we visited and we were NOT disappointed. Every hole was challenging and Bart, the ranger gave us some great tips to help make the round more enjoyable. The view of the ocean from some of the holes is just beyond... More
