Consistently ranked as the #1 golf course in Hawaii, playing The Plantation Course is sure to be on every golfer's bucket list. Designed by Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore, the course was designed on a grand scale in keeping with its location on the slopes of the West Maui Mountains and offers dramatic ocean views from virtually every hole. Its lengthy 7,411 yard par 73 layout challenges the pros but it's wide fairways and generous greens make it very playable for the average golfer. With dramatic elevation changes, this course offers plenty of downhill tee shots. You'll feel like one of the pros when - with the aid of the aggressive slope of the 18th fairway - you will enjoy hitting one of the longest drives of your life. The Plantation Course is the site of the PGA TOUR Hyundai Tournament of Champions each January featuring an elite field of previous year's PGA TOUR winners.

Played the Plantation course on Maui and loved every hole. This is an exceptional with views of the ocean. The course has some nice ups and downs with some very challenging holes and nice greens. The staff was great, the cart girl was nice enough to charge my phone while I was playing. I will play there again on my... More

For the golfer who likes to add trophies courses to their collection this is a must. Can't beat the views. Yes it's windy but that is what makes the course difficult. Downwind / downhill holes are a blast when you normally hit it 280 a and it goes 370! Makes you feel like you are good! The afternoon rate at... More

Played in early August and teed off around noon. Was told the windy conditions were the norm for that time of year. The views of the Pacific and Molokai cannot be beaten at any other golf course. Experiencing a course that the pros play was also great. Challenging, but not impossibly difficult. Bermuda greens are tough to read, but the... More

Among the most spectacular places I've played. The golf course has one flat hole (#2), and everything else is either up or down, right and left. There are open shots, blind shots, carry shots and scary shots. On the morning that we played, the front 9 was very playable, however, as soon as we hit #10 tee, the wind hit... More

Outstanding golf course, fantastic views, of all the tour courses i have played this is hands down the best for play and views. played at 2:30 in the afternoon cost me $195 plus $45 club rental(which were 4 month old Titleist) but the best thing since i was paying my 17 year old daughter got to play for free plus... I found the Kapalua Plantation Course an awesome experience. The course is very challenging and I can understand why it is a PGA course. The views are spectacular. I played the week after the pro's had been here, so the course was in immaculate condition. It is expensive to play, but it's up there with one of the best courses... More

Granted, I don't get the opportunity to play as many resort courses as I'd like, but this was by far the best golf outing I've had so far. A wonderful experience from the time I entered the club house to when we left after lunch. I am a Kama'aina (Hawaii resident) so my greens fees were only $95! The normal... More

I could barely concentrate on swinging the club because I was too busy snapping photos of the amazing ocean views and mountain vistas. The course is extremely well-manicured (site of the January PGA Hyundai Classic) and is challenging without being ridiculous. The price is not low, but if this is the only time you will ever play here, pay it.... More

Stayed in Kapalua specifically to be close to The Plantation Course. I had scheduled myself to play 3 weeks after aeration. Plenty of time for the course to heal. Two days before playing, I had heard there was a problem with the greens, but decided to play anyway. The course is spectacular. I've seen pros play it on TV and... More
