Consistently ranked as the #1 golf course in Hawaii, playing The Plantation Course is sure to be on every golfer's bucket list. Designed by Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore, the course was designed on a grand scale in keeping with its location on the slopes of the West Maui Mountains and offers dramatic ocean views from virtually every hole. Its lengthy 7,411 yard par 73 layout challenges the pros but it's wide fairways and generous greens make it very playable for the average golfer. With dramatic elevation changes, this course offers plenty of downhill tee shots. You'll feel like one of the pros when - with the aid of the aggressive slope of the 18th fairway - you will enjoy hitting one of the longest drives of your life. The Plantation Course is the site of the PGA TOUR Hyundai Tournament of Champions each January featuring an elite field of previous year's PGA TOUR winners.

Really looked forward to this game on our trip to Hawaii. Was very impressed with the course layout and the fantastic vistas on almost every hole. However they had recently sanded the greens and vericut . They did not mention it or offer a discount , very odd as most courses do. The staff were not helpful and although the... More

I can't say for sure that this is the best golf course in Hawaii, but it is one of the very best l have played. The course is long when playing from the tips, though the fairways and greens are ample. You don't have to hit the ball perfectly straight to score well. However, you do need to be able... More

Super views and excellent condition. Played couple of weeks after PGA event but sense is this course is always in top condition. Ross, our caddy, was exceptional. Remember, putts go to the ocean!

Course is well worth its reputation with spectacular views and many great tee shots from elevated tees. Only one hole that was not interesting - number 2 par 3. Holes 17 and 18 are terrific. Only downside is a number of blind shots which made it difficult if never played there before. Great value especially if you do the twilight... More

Just a week after hosting the Tournament of Champions we headed to The Plantation Course on a visit from Australia. The staff at Kapalua were excellent, from bag drop to restaurant, pro shop and starter. A 20 handicapper the course was challenging with savage secondary rough (still at tournament standard) massive slopes and elevations, plenty of blind spots and tricky... More

My wife and I were a cruise and were spending 2 days in Maui. I was playing as a single (my wife was riding). This is the most spectacular golf course that I could imagine playing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was getting the chance to play the Plantation course 30 days before the pros were coming... More

I've been to Maui and few times and while I am an avid golfer, I've never bothered to play golf there. This time, on the advice of my brother, I decided to play the Plantation Course. The views from the course are amazing and not to be missed. Take your camera and take your time. This is a 5 hour... More
